The Waves at Cane Bay - St. Croix (St. Croix)

You may choose to relax at our sea side restaurant or sun yourself on our beach terrace. Although the ocean laps at your feet you might cool off in our natural grotto salt water pool, unique in all the Caribbean. You can also go to Cane Bay Beach, a half mile stretch of sparkling white sand only a short walk from our door.

Free Diving . . . Free tanks, weights, air fills and underwater maps of the Cane Bay Wall to our certified guests and verbal orientations from Cane Bay's most experienced Dive Instructor. Free snorkel gear and free instructions . . . in our unique protected lagoon pool.

Shore Diving . . . Cane Bay is one of the best Diving sites in the Caribbean. It is the center point of about five miles of shoreline, hugging a drop-off wall. It is both accessible from shore or by boat. The Waves at Cane Bay doesn't run dive boats, but support shore diving. The Waves have their own shore diving access on their "backyard".

The one unique thing about this Lagoon Pool is that it has sea life just like the ocean. The abundance of life that lives in this pool is amazing. Here's a short list of the fish that live in the pool permanently: a baby octopus, a brittle star fish, "Angelicia" the french angelfish, broadstripe goby, two juvenal flounders, and more.

The Lagoon Pool is on the shoreline overlooking the Caribbean Sea. In fact, the pool is built right into the shoreline. Carved out of the shoreline rock. There are concrete stairs leading into the pool, but the pool itself is made out of the shoreline rock.
AMENITIES: Informal atmosphere . . . each spotless airy studio is equipped with a king-sized bed (or two twins) and features a large screened balcony directly on the Caribbean. Ceiling fans supplement our constant tradewinds and all units have air conditioning. Every room has color cable television as well. All rooms also have kitchen facilities equipped for your every cooking need.
ACTIVITIES: Things to do on St. Croix:

- Go to the Beach
- Go to Buck Island
- Play Golf
- Kayaking
- Horseback Riding
- Sport Fishing
- Parasailing
- Go see the Beer Drinking Pigs
- Go see the Danish Forts
- Botanical Gardens
- The Whim Plantation
- The Island Festivals
- Go on Hikes

and MORE

DINING/RESTARUANTS: The hotel has an excellent terrace restaurant, rated as one of the best on the island. The Ryans serve dinners seven nights a week.

The Catch of the Day . . . You never know what the day will bring. The catch of the day could be a huge lobster ready for the taking. Or even better, you catch your own lobster and cook it. Whatever the case, the food is great.

The restaurant is right on the ocean front giving a wonderful scenery of the Caribbean Sea. Come early enough and you can see the most wonderful sun setting ever. No matter what the season is, the scenery and the view from the restaurant is wonderful and numbing.
Type: Hotel Beach Location: Beach Front (Directly on Beach/Water Front)
