Villas on Bluefields Bay - Jamaica ()

Are you dreaming of your picture-perfect wedding or planning a very important birthday or a special family gathering?? There is no better place to host these events than in Bluefields!!!

Our fine staff are highly experienced in arranging special events at our properties. They are capable of making the most of this incredibly dramatic setting on Bluefields Bay, and can organize special occasions for up to 42 persons at our 5 luxurious seafront homes. They will act as on-site wedding/party planners, and coordinate with ministers (or a justice-of-the-peace), local florists, photographers, and musicians.

There are many venues that can be utilized for your celebrations: The Hermitage will accommodate a large group, and its dining table can expand to seat up to 17 persons with other tables set on its upper loggia or on the patio surrounding the pool. Dancing is able to follow in its sizable living room with pink marble floor. Drinks, dining, and dancing can also take place for large or small groups at The Treehouse, which is perched just above the Caribbean Sea with expansive views of gorgeous sunsets!

Our staff was recently able to accommodate a wedding party of 40+ who wished to enjoy their wedding dinner at one long table on the San Michele lawn, followed by a terrific reggae band playing in the San Michele pool pavilion. Please be aware that it is possible to hire a reggae band, a steel drum band, a mento band or have a dj for your celebration. The pool pavilion at San Michele is a terrific site to enjoy dramatic meals for either large or small groups.

First enjoy cocktails and appetizers while watching glorious sunsets on San Michele's private island.

Please let us know about your celebration so that we can help you to make the most of it!!
AMENITIES: Each villa is fully staffed (including child care) and has its own pool and private, secluded sea-side patio with steps into the sea, lounge chairs, hammocks and bar.
ACTIVITIES: Manager's Cocktail Party: On Monday afternoons at 5 PM, our management team arranges a cocktail party for the guests at our homes. It is held at our beach pavilion, The Treehouse. We try to include some members of our local community, and there is often a representative from Oasis Spa and from the local community organization (the BPCA) or Basic School faculty.

The Treehouse: Our beach pavilion provides a location where guests from all five homes are always welcome to spend time, have drinks at its beautiful Jamaican-marble bar, enjoy a waterfront lunch next to the beach, read books and magazines. The newly-lit waterfront path means that guests can use The Treehouse in the evenings as well. This facility also has a powder room, changing area, and outdoor shower, and it is the site for our Jerk Chicken Luncheon typically held every Wednesday.

Deep-Sea Fishing: Herman, a local boatman, provides rods and reels and can take up to four people about 8 miles out for deep-sea fishing. It is best to leave by 6 A.M. We have life preservers that can be put into his boat at your request, and our staff will prepare a cooler and snacks if arranged the previous day. If you would like to try a more elaborate boat with interior space and other modern features, sometimes this might be able to be arranged for you.

Snorkeling: Please let your butler know if you wish to borrow some of our large collection of snorkeling gear. Snorkeling is excellent right along the shoreline, or a local boat can take you to nearby Moor Reef. The boat holds 6 or 7 passengers, and should be scheduled the previous day. Please go early to enjoy calm seas and to avoid the hot midday sun.

Sea Kayaking: Our area, the leeward side of Jamaica, is ideally suited to sea kayaking. We currently have seven sea kayaks (2 two-man kayaks at San Michele, a two-man kayak at Milestone Cottage, 2 two-man kayaks and 2 one-man kayaks at our beach area). These are ideal both for exercise and for use as water taxis in order to view the coastline and travel to and fro.
DINING/RESTARUANTS: Come to Bluefields, where mangos and avocados ripen on our own trees and where just-caught fish and lobster are brought right to the door. Our new Executive Chef, Claude Robinson, is cooking up wonderful new taste treats to add to previous favorites. His Lobster Bisque, Seafood Newburg, and other new dishes are truly divine!

Each home is staffed with excellent cooks and trained waiters providing attentive table service and using our large collection of fine china, crystal, and silver for your enjoyment. You will receive a list of menu possibilities previous to your visit which can be contoured as needed to suit your party. Our cooks are well experienced in producing meals for those who follow vegetarian diets (including vegans) and for those who follow certain kosher diets as well.

Each day begins with a complete breakfast of fresh fruits, cereal, home-squeezed juices, and pancakes, omelets or eggs of the style desired. Your group will choose the menus that you wish to be served for lunch and dinner. Our staff will also prepare special treats (such as local smoked marlin, homemade potato chips and breadfruit chips, etc.) to be served with drinks at sunset.
Type: All Inclusive Beach Location: Beach Front (Directly on Beach/Water Front)
