Our goal at Pirates Hideaway Guesthouse is to provide you with a secluded, restful place to rejuvenate.  The turquoise blue sea and pristine white beaches of Salt Cay has been my home for over six years.

ACTIVITIES: Salt Cay offers divers and snorkelers and abundance of marine life in sparkling beautiful seas, "The Wall", a 7000 foot trench, is only 100 yards from shore and the Endymion, and unsalvaged 17th century warship in 25-35 feet of water are but two of many fantastic dive sites around the island. 

Diving on Salt Cay is an unforgettable experience. Several operators are on the island ready to take you down under, either group or private charters. Let Pirates Hideaway help you arrange a variety of dives with the local dive guides.
  
During the months of January, February, March and early April, divers, swimmers and snorkelers can enjoy watching the Humpback Whales migrating.

Swimmers and snorkelers will enjoy the warm waters and sandy beaches of Salt Cay.

Your stay is designed to be simple and unique to island living; where your daily enjoyment of activities and your well-being will receive our full attention - focused exclusively on the recapture of your good health and humour with pastimes you may have at some time considered... Kayaking, beachcombing and birdwatching, Lots of day hikes. Hike to the top of Taylor Hill to visit the oldest ruin and spectacular panoramic view of Salt Cay. Relax with a good book on one of the beautiful sandy beaches 
 
THE DEANE'S DOCK EXPERIENCE........ a one-mile warm breeze cycle ride before sunrise to reach the iny harbor.  An ideal time and place to practice deep breathing gymnastics whilst watching various seabirds catching their breakfast or spot various colored fish swimming in clear blue water between the boats. 

DIVING........ one spectaclular dive site is the Endymion Wreck.

BIRD WATCHING........ especially the osprey, hummingbirds, peregrine falcons, and turtle doves (bring your own binoculars).

WALL WALKING........ at your own pace, walk around the salt salinas and enjoy the views of the historic island and its salt industry.

TCI MUSEUM....Take a ten minute airflight or ride the Salt Cay Community boat to Grand Turk to visit one of the most interesting museums in the West Indies. 

CROC HUNTING........ is a unique pastime.  The collecting of pieces of blue china from deserted sites around the island.  All pieces date well over 50-100 years, and should you desire, craft them as we will show you.

WHELKING........ rock hopping in search of shellfish and taste your harvest later in a "soup of the evening."

LINE FISHING........ with a local expert fisherman who will show you how to catch conch, grouper and hog snapper!

SILVER SAND ROLLING........ a thorough cleansing, exfoliation and conditioning technique to rejuvenate your skin.  Rinse off with a lazy dip in the Caribbean Sea.  Your skin will look and feel like silk within days of using Salt Cay water.

SNORKELING........ explore a pretty reef, a short swim from shore where the waters teem with parrot fish.

ISLAND COOKING LESSON........ learn one easy and nourishing dish from an islander - lobster hash, pear bush soup or conch stew.

WHALE WATCHING........ Aboard our 32 footer, the "Buchaneer" in season (January - April) or enjoy a boat ride to a nearby deserted island and spot the flying fish.

PAINTING........ even if you've never before dabbled in a paint box, paint a mural on one of our blank walls.

TRAIL TREKKING........ sweat off some fatty tissue with a walk or bicycle ride to The Creek and beachcombing.

PLANT A FRIENDSHIP TREE OR BUSH........ we supply the tree, you dig the hole and plant it.  Wouldn't this be fun!

MUSICAL JAM SESSIONS........ whether or not talented!  Of course, if you have a manageable instrument, bring it with you.

WORSHIP........ at one of our three churches, or one of the many naturally peaceful spots on the island.
