Bay Gardens Culinary Excellence 
Bay Gardens Hotel is currently savouring a feast of medals and awards for its fine tradition of culinary excellence.  Bay Gardens Hotel scooped five major awards, among them two gold medals in the just concluded Annou Tuitt Sent Licie Competition.  The hotel's soup combines Caribbean grilled corn and okra gumbo with fresh local peppers, herbs and spices, topped with chives.  The second gold medal was in the category of main course, for which Bay Gardens entered the Paradise Reef, a fresh catch of snapper in a ring of lobster and crab mousse, on a bed of steamed spinach and lobster, coconut, tumeric sauce.  The Hotel's dessert, mango and banana mousse with pineapple sauce won a bronze medal. 
Overall, Bay Gardens Hotel walked away with the St. Lucia Tourist Board Trophy for the Best Hotel Participant as well as the Chamber of Commerce Trophy for Best Up and Coming Chef.  Bay Gardens culinary team for the competition comprised of Senior Sous Chef Shirley Alphonse, Executive Chef F. Roberts, Pastry Chef Michael Gabriel.  The Hotel's General Manager Berthia Parle says these latest achievements are testimony to Bay Gardens' Commitment to culinary excellence and maximizing the use of Caribbean food and dishes.

Mrs. Parle says a daily Caribbean Breakfast is a hallmark of Bay Gardens culinary fare.  It has become customary for several local business people to have breakfast meetings at Bay Gardens and indulge in the sumptuous offerings of bakes and saltfish as well as fresh local juices.  Among the major functions/occasions Bay Gardens has catered for are the Nelson Mandela Banquet for 800 guests at Government House in 1998, the Windward and Leeward Brewery's Dutch Queen's Birthday reception for the last 2 years; and many other government and corporate functions.

With the completion and opening of Bay Gardens new state-of-the-art Conference Center, Mrs. Parle says the hotel intends to attract a lot more business form the local community by way of weddings, receptions, banquets, workshops, seminars and even religious gatherings.  She says the fine tradition of special event/functions for Valentines Day, Easter and Mothers Day Jazz Brunch will continue.  In the same breath she encouraged the local community to come in on a Thursday evening to sample the fare and enjoy the local entertainment on Caribbean night or on a Saturday evening, which is a typical night-out for locals.

All rooms are fully furnished with A/C, private bathtub/shower, clock radio, daily coffee and tea, room service, maid service, iron and board, coffee maker or electric iron, king bed or twin beds incl. sofa bed on request, 24hr Cable TV, Direct Dial Data port phone, terrace, balcony. General Hotel facilities include 2 swimming pools, Jacuzzi, Wade Pool, Restaurant, Bar, Library, Resource room/Authentic Piton Rum shop, Wedding Gazebo and 3 Conference rooms. 
Weekly managers' rum punch party with Gala Caribbean Buffet or Saturday Night Bar B Que. Floor shows include limbo, snake dance, fire eating etc. Live band musical, steel pan, karaoke.  
Spices Restaurant is opened from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. A Daily Caribbean/American Buffet Breakfast where you find everything from fresh grapefruit juice to bakes and salt-fish. An A La Carte Menu is also available to choose from. Fresh, meals or Lunch time snacks are served from an All Day Dining Menu from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.  A La Carte Dinner is served from 7:30 pm until 10:30 pm every night. However, you may savour our Gala Caribbean Buffet Dinner or Bar B Que Dinner on a Thursday or Saturday Night.
