<title>CaribbeanMag.com: Anse Chastanet ***** - St. Lucia  (Soufriere)</title>
<description>
Anse Chastanet offers 49 individually designed rooms, 37 of which are scattered about a lush hillside, and 12 which are nestled within a tropical garden at beach level. No two rooms at Anse Chastanet are exactly alike. Twelve beach-level units are tucked away behind the coconut palms, just steps from the water's edge and the resort's renowned SSI PLATINUM PRO/PADI dive facility. Perched on the hill are Anse Chastanet's original rooms; cherry white-washed cottages with wrap-around balconies. These octagonal shaped "gazeboes" offer splendid views of the Pitons and the sea, framed by an abundance of flourishing blossoms.

<title>Anse Chastanet ***** - St. Lucia  (Soufriere)</title>
<description>
Honeymoons and Anniversaries

ANSE CHASTANET's spectacular scenic location, it's unique setting and special ambiance, has firmly ensconced the Resort as one of St. Lucia's foremost honeymoon vacation spots.

This position has been further cemented by the many romance awards ANSE CHASTANET has been proud to receive. Readers of Caribbean Travel and Life magazine have repeatedly voted ANSE CHASTANET to be one of the Caribbean's Most Romantic Resorts and AandE television voted ANSE CHASTANET to be ONE OF THE WORLD'S TOP TEN MOST ROMANTIC RESORTS based on a vote by travel industry leaders and journalists.

The resort's intimate size ensures that your honeymoon will not be a mass market statistic on our arrival list but that there will be a genuine endeavour by management and staff to provide YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE with the holiday of a lifetime.

Elope to Paradise Weddings

Tropical island weddings are getting more and more popular, whether or not you plan to elope to paradise exclusively with your loved one or with your relatives and friends in tow.

Only two days of residency in St. Lucia is required for visitors in order for them to be married in a civil ceremony performed right at the resort. Catholic Church weddings can be arranged but take at least 3 months of planning, involving the bride and groom's parish priest at home.

At ANSE CHASTANET, weddings are the unique and individual affair they should be and every ceremony is organised in personal consultation with the bride and groom who can also add their own vows to the civil ceremony. There is no dedicated "wedding chapel", instead the bride and groom choose their own "very special location", be it the Treehouse, the beach, the "Miss Ina", the old colonial plantation, a nearby waterfall, the coral reef or the privacy of their room. Wedding ceremonies are limited to one a day. ANSE CHASTANET will arrange for all legal documents and legal processing.

The ANSE CHASTANET TROPICAL WEDDING PACKAGE included all legal processing, lawyer and registrar fee, all messenger and transportation services, wedding bouquet, buttonhole, wedding cake, and bottle of champagne. Optional services such as photography, videography, pre-wedding spa package, national wedding dress, private sunset post wedding sailing trip, live entertainment are all available. Two witnesses are required and can be arranged at the Resort.

Wedding Couples can add the wedding package to any reservation type. Please consult our rates and packages page for information on hotel daily and package rates. Wedding Couple particularly like our all-inclusive TOTAL ROMANCE package. If you plan to elope together with your friends and family please contact us for further details on special group rates and additional information on planning larger weddings.
ANSE CHASTANET offers 49 individually designed rooms, 37 of which are scattered about a lush hillside, and 12 which are nestled within a tropical garden at beach level.

ANSE CHASTANET emphasizes the use of local woods and other local products in the room decor and furnishings. Cushions and bedspreads are made from colorful cotton fabrics called madras, the island's "national cloth." Even the resort bathrobes are locally made and have become a popular souvenir item!

The furniture has been individually designed and handmade in the region with the exclusive use of the island woods such as teak, mahogany, green heart, red cedar and wild breadfruit. All rooms have fridges, electric tea/coffee makers and wall mounted hair dryers, and in-room safes. Deluxe and Premium rooms also have irons and ironing boards.

Please note that there are approximately 100 stairs leading from beach level to mid-hillside level, thus making the property unsuitable for those with walking difficulties or cardiac problems. This is never a question of age. A complimentary shuttle service from beachside to hillside level is provided any time it is requested.

Facilities at the resort include 2 restaurants and bars,an excursions and car rental desk, 2 beachside boutiques, the Kai Belte Spa, Scuba St.Lucia, watersports center, art gallery, library, Bike St. Lucia and now also Kayak St. Lucia.
ANSE CHASTANET guests can enjoy the following watersports daily and on complimentary basis:

- Snorkeling
- Windsurfing
- Ocean Kayaking
- Sunfish Sailing

Snorkelers will take delight in the shallow coral reefs which start right offshore and which are easily accessible. At a charge, escorted boat snorkel trips are arranged to other nearby snorkel sites.

The Anse Chastanet beach attendants will be pleased to provide sunfish sailing and windsurfing instruction when required.
At ANSE CHASTANET's Piti Piton and Treehouse Restaurant, we have created and celebrate award winning Tropical World Cuisine, blending Caribbean cuisine with other world cuisine experiences, from French to Mediterranean and from Fusion to New World cuisine. ANSE CHASTANET is very actively involved with the island's local farmers to assist them in understanding which produce is essential to our culinary style. Together with ANSE CHASTANET'S horticultural team, we have recently been further expanding ANSE CHASTANET'S own gardens, cultivating fresh herbs and fresh fruits which are grown amidst the historical ruins of the Anse Mamin plantation, part of ANSE CHASTANET'S 600 acre estate. The dinner menu changes daily and consists of a 4 course meal served in a romantic candlelit ambiance, surrounded by beautiful original artwork. Part of the Piton Restaurant is the Treehouse, where diners are seated in an open-air area amidst treetops as the name suggests. Dinner is served daily with the exception of Tuesdays.

ANSE CHASTANET menus always include vegetarian options and our culinary team is also happy to meet dietary requirements at any time. There are 2 restaurants and bars at ANSE CHASTANET.

The Trou au Diable Restaurant serves lunch daily. The lunch menu offers a wide and varied choice of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and creole specialities from an à la carte menu, in addition to a large buffet spread with hot and cold dishes.

On Tuesday evenings, all guests enjoy our special Caribbean Buffet which commences with a cocktail reception followed by dinner in the Trou au Diable beach restaurant . The atmosphere is festive with the entire stretch of beach in front of the restaurant lit up by flambeau candles.

APSARA
The Trou au Diable restaurant offers a special Indian theme menu titled APSARA on all evenings except Tuesday. APSARA is an innovative fusion of modern East Indian and Caribbean cooking, a celebration of St.Lucia historical and cultural ties with East India.

AFTERNOON TEA
Afternoon tea is served from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily in both the Piton Bar and Beach Bar, and an afternoon snack menu is also available at that time.

DRESS CODE
Our dress code in the evenings is smart casual. Gentlemen usually wear collared shirts and bermuda shorts or trousers. Light cotton or linen clothing is the most comfortable.

At lunch, we request dry clothing in the beach restaurant and a light cover up.

BARS
The two bars at Piti Piton Restaurant and the Trou au Diable beach restaurant are open daily and offer a wide selection of tropical cocktails, beers, liquor including also fine malt whiskeys, eau-de-vies and after dinner drinks. Why not start your vacation with a STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN or how about a CARIBBEAN KISS!
