Park Bay House - Bequia Beachfront Villa Rental - The Grenadines (Bequia)

The villa offers some of the most breathtaking views on Bequia, punctuated by dramatic waves in the foreground and the neighboring Grenadine islands in the distance. Relaxing on the well-shaded porches, you feel like you're floating over the beautiful ocean, caressed by the trade winds...and at night the stars explode from the perfect darkness that surrounds you.

At your doorstep is family friendly Park Beach, ideal for wading and swimming, with sandy tide pools and calm water perfect for children. A few minutes' walk away is stunning Industry Bay, with its picture-postcard crescent beach. Right out your back door are hundreds of acres of unspoiled woodlands and deserted coves that make up the entire northern end of the island. And all the rest of lovely Bequia is within easy reach.

Park Bay House is built in traditional West Indian style from tropical hardwood and native stone. With four bedrooms and three baths, the two-story villa is perfect for both large and small groups. Up to twelve people can sleep comfortably in the villa's eight beds and sleeper sofa. And its two living rooms, two expansive porches, and large courtyard ensure plenty of space and privacy.

All the rooms have fabulous views. The living rooms and master bedrooms offer spectacular views of the sea, with the neighboring Grenadine islands of Mustique, Battowia, and Balliceaux on the horizon. The rear bedrooms look out at the lovely rising hills, accompanied by soft wind rustling through the trees. Everywhere in the house is peaceful, serene, and private.

Park Bay House is a truly special place, giving you the best that Bequia has to offer: lovely beaches, unspoiled wilderness, and the constant cooling trade winds. It's a great base for exploring the island...or just staying put and reveling in the sounds of the ocean and the caress of the sea breeze.
With most villa rentals you get the key to the house and maybe a complimentary bottle of wine. Not so with Park Bay House: when you stay with us you get treated to full-service pampering worthy of a fine resort, but with all the privacy and space of a first-class villa rental.

The service starts as soon as you book your stay. From that point on you have access to our splendid team of Bequia experts to help you plan your travel and activities. With two offices on Bequia, they are your personal concierge service before and during your stay. They will: help with all travel arrangements, including regional flights and ferries; meet you at the airport or ferry dock and take you to the villa; rent a car and bring it to the house, along with your local driver's licenses; stock the house with provisions of your choice; plan tours of the island and day trips to neighboring islands; arrange for personal services like babysitting and gourmet catering; and be available 24x7 to help with anything else you need.

The villa's professional, dedicated staff includes a housekeeper and caretaker. You will enjoy daily housekeeping (excluding Sundays) and a welcome meal to make your arrival effortless. And since transfers to and from the airport or ferry are also included, you can start relaxing as soon as you arrive.

As of July 2007 Park Bay House will have a powerful computer that doubles as a DVD/CD/MP3 player. All the media features are available from the front panel and its remote, so it's just like using a TV or stereo. And stored on the computer are nearly 6,000 tracks of music ready to play.

We are in the process of implementing broadband internet access throughout the house, and it should also be available by July 2007. In the meantime free wireless access is available at the offices of our concierge service in lovely Port Elizabeth, or you can use one of the many internet cafes on the island.
The immediate surroundings of Park Bay House provide endless opportunity for eco-adventure and relaxation. Miles of stunning coastline and hundreds of acres of untouched forest beg to be explored.

Kids and adults alike delight in visiting the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary at the far end of Park Bay, where sea turtles are raised for safe release, and goats, sheep, and chickens wander happily.

Surrounding Park Bay House are hundreds of acres of unspoiled woodland, traversed by paths leading to deserted coves and dramatic headlands. In fact the entire northern section of Bequia is completely undeveloped, and it lies right out your back door. There are miles of trails suitable for hiking and mountain biking, from easy to challenging. You can hike up the 400-foot saddle that rises behind Park Bay House and cross over to the dramatic L'Anse Chemin, a beautiful uninhabited bay on the island's west coast. Or you can walk the relatively easy paths that lead through groves of bay trees to the northern end of the island. All along the way are opportunities to explore deserted bays and marvel at the fantastic views.

Under the crystal-clear water that surrounds the villa, the coral reef offers more visual delights. Directly in front of Park Bay House you'll find a variety of coral, fish, and other marine life, and you can drift with the current all the way to Industry Bay for a spectacular snorkeling experience. In the other direction lies dramatic Sal Bay, where the reef wraps around the headland and reaches toward shore. Beyond lie more tantalizing bays and coves, well-kept secrets only occasionally visited by local divers.
