No tour busses to meet. No car rental agencies to haggle with about insurance. No worries. If that's your idea of vacation bliss, Hotel Ballenas is perfect for you.

No we don't offer beach volleyball, but you can lay on the beach and swim in the ocean for as long as you want.

Excersize class in the swimming pool?

No, but you can lounge poolside undisturbed and enjoy the amazing view of Samana bay all day without anyone asking you "Is this seat taken?".

Soak beachside in our jacuzzi or do nothing at all. It's the kind of relaxed atmosphere and secluded location you've been dreaming of.

Humpback whale watching from January until March is another great reason to visit Hotel Ballenas. Guided tours depart directly from the hotel's beach and allow a rare opportunity to experience a true natural wonder. At peak season there are usually about a hundred whales in the bay at any given time.

Our new restaurant and bar is prepared to offer you a full menu of caribbean dishes as well as continental style cuisine. The restaurant and bar are situated at the highest elevation on the property and offer diners a view of the entire grounds and the ocean.

The restaurant offers service to the hotel's rooms and villas and bar service is available poolside. Fresh fruit, juices and incredible Dominican coffee are always available. Just let the staff know when you want breakfast served on your private terrace, and start your day off right.

Langouste; or caribbean lobster, is a local delicacy, and a taste not to be missed. Fresh fish and seafood are caught daily to provide the restaurant with the highest quality ingredients to ensure a superb dining experience. Don't forget to ask one of the staff to make you a mojito, for another taste of the caribbean you're sure to remember.
