Firefly, probably Mustique's best kept secret on this privately owned and exclusive island is truly unique having been built in the early seventies as a private villa, and recently transformed into one of the Caribbean's most exclusive hideaways.

The Firefly - Mustique - The Grenadines (Mustique Island)

The Firefly is perched on a hill with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring tropical islands fading to the horizon. It affords the most wonderful sunset scenes from all rooms including the dining terrace and bar lounge area, which is complete with a Grand Piano and comfortable areas to enjoy a cocktail or meet old friends.

Each room has been individually designed as a "Caribbean Fantasy" and includes the extra touches you naturally expect … Quality linen, unbleached cotton towels, hair dryer, bath accessories, bathrobes and sarongs for your use.

In the Hummingbird room you don't even have to get out of your bed to enjoy a fantastic ocean view. Just wake up and open your eyes!

The Tree House room has ocean views from the bed and a "sea pebble shower" which protrudes high into the trees. This room is a favourite for returning guests, who want a "romantic" room with superb sunset views.

The Seashell room has a private ocean facing patio with a tropical plunge pool, dining table, hammock and it's own exclusive entrance to the garden and swimming pools. The room has air-conditioning and is tastefully furnished with a seashell theme.

The Pineapple room has air conditioning and the bathroom has a huge shower made entirely from sea pebbles. The bed in this room faces directly to the neighbouring island of Canouan. A large sitting area compliments this spacious and luxurious room.

AMENITIES: Each room has a well-stocked mini bar, CD player with CD selection, direct dial telephone and ceiling fans (air conditioning where noted). We also provide you with a basket to take to the beach containing full sized beach towels, masks and snorkels.

Room rate includes full breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner from our 'a la carte' menu for two persons, free transfers from Mustique Airport and use of the tennis courts. A "Mule" (a small motorized buggy) is included with your room rate for your entire stay. Staying at the Firefly entitles you to full access to the exclusive island of Mustique and all it's beaches. We can reserve private picnic areas and cabanas on any beach for you, without charge.

ACTIVITIES: Mustique is probably the one remaining Caribbean island free of hassle and hustle, no beggars, no beach or street vendors, no unemployment, no casinos, high rise hotels, night clubs, disco's or golf courses and a 20 m.p.h. speed limit for the few cars on the island.

There is a fine stable of thoroughbred horses for that sunset gallop along the beach, wonderful hiking and nature trails, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, water sports and tennis. Mustique enjoys a warm climate, with an average temperature range of 75 to 85 degrees (24 to 29 c) throughout the year.

Any time of the year is wonderful here. There is no "out of season", being far enough south to avoid hurricanes. Some of the best times to be here are the summer months of June, July and August when all our beautiful flora is in full bloom. September is a month when you can have the island to yourself! Count on it being quiet. Usually the Cotton House is closed and we are the only action on Mustique. Imagine a private island exclusively for your pleasure! Mustique is essentially composed of seven valleys each with a deserted white sand beach fringed by palm and coconut trees surrounded by a series of coral reefs.

Whilst famous for its "celebrity" home owners, it is truly an island paradise, one that will make you return again and again. For those seeking some relief from the tranquility of Mustique we can arrange sailing trips to nearby islands, and other excursions to see some of the natural beauty of the Grenadines.

DINING/RESTARUANTS:
Type: Hotel No. of Rooms: 4 Beach Location: Near Beach (Walking Distance)
