Cobá, on the other hand is in the middle of the jungle. The course has a 148 slope rating, posing a challenge to even the most experienced golfer, yet with 4 sets of tees, is playable for all skill levels. In Playa warm tropical days fade to cool afternoons, an excellent time to visit the Xa-mán-Há Aviary. The admission fee is a reasonable and it's well worth a visit. The aviary takes visitors into a tamed Yucatecan jungle to wander along trails in a natural botanical garden and plants are carefully labeled for amature horticulturalists to learn a little about the native habitat. Flamingos and other long-legged birds amble about in ponds and adventurous tropical birds occasionally venture onto the pedestrian paths giving visitors and up close and personal view of species found only in this region.
