This small, hotel offers 24 standard, furnished 1- bedroom studio suites which are all air-conditioned for your comfort, especially after a hot day at the beach or bargaining at the craft markets. The rooms all have telephones and full showers-and-baths as well as their own kitchenettes. All rooms have their own patios with views of the garden, ocean or swimming pool and sun deck. The rooms are appropriate for single or double occupancy having either a king, double bed or 2 single beds in each. The facilities are also ideally suited to families and small groups as well. There are larger rooms suitable for triple occupancy or 4 persons utilizing a sofa-bed. Certain rooms also have connecting doors which can be utilized if needed for families or small groups. We also cater for weddings or special occasions with special packages and discounts available for this. ACTIVITIES: We are located on the distinctive north coast of Jamaica, 1 and 1/2 hours drive from the Donald Sangster's International Airport in Montego Bay. We are located in the subdivision of Mammee Bay, off the beaten track yet within easy reach of everything. The Rose Garden Hotel is only 3 miles from the resort town Ocho Rios with its duty-free shopping malls, restaurants, tourist attractions, water sports and craft parks. Supermarkets, liquor stores, gas stations, craft shops, gift and souvenir shops, post office etc. are all within a 2-3 mile radius. In the other direction, 2 miles away is the capital of the parish, St. Ann's Bay, with its more local flavor: local food shops, outdoor fruit/vegetable market, residential areas, gardens and where the historic statue of Columbus stands (he landed in St. Ann) near the ancient Spanish church. Fern Gully, Shaw Park Gardens, White River rafting and Dunn's River are all within a 4 mile radius and easily accessible. Dunn's River Falls a magnificent natural waterfalls with its own craft park is less than 1 mile away. DINING/RESTARUANTS: Dining out every day on vacation can be pricey. Each of our rooms has its own kitchenette which makes dining out an option rather than a must. Upon request we can provide a Jamaican cook to prepare your food just the way you like it. Should you choose to have a poolside barbeque we provide a barbeque facility which you are free to use, or we can also arrange for a cook to barbeque for you at your request. However if you prefer you can enjoy the meals in the hotel's dining room, which serves breakfast and dinner. They serve local Jamaican or continental cuisine. BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED while you stay under certain PLANS. The catch of the day depends on what the local fishermen net. Snapper, Parrotfish, Florida lobster are favorites. Meals are very reasonably priced starting at about U.S. $7.00-8.00 which is a refreshing change from the usually high-priced hotel menus. We also offer room service if you prefer to relax in the comfort of your room at mealtime.
