This 2 bedroom villa is tastefully decorated throughout in cool tropical caribbean colours and has a picture perfect garden featuring an attractive pool - ideal for cooling down on hot afternoons. Both bedrooms have en suites and air-conditioning whilst the fully fitted kitchen is both spacious and modern. A short path leads from the front of the property to a secluded white sandy beach. There are a selection of fine restaurants within a short stroll from the property, and a small minimarket and bar at the nearby Marina. Renting a car during your stay will enable you to explore the whole Island at your leisure and give you complete freedom. Rental rates however can be quite expensive in Grenada, so in conjuction with " Gabriels Car and Taxi Rental Service " we can offer a very reasonable rate that you will find hard to beat. Driving in Grenada is on the left hand side of the road ( ie the same as in the UK ), and anyone who has driven in the UK will find driving here very similar. You must obtain a temporary driving permit ( at a cost of EC$30 ) and this will be arranged for you by the rental company, but please remember that you must bring your own valid driving license. Left hand drive vehicles are also available on request. US $ 199 per week This rate is only available to guests staying at Gardenia Cottage for periods of 1 week or more and must be booked prior to arrival in Grenada. AMENITIES: Gardenia Cottage can accommodate 4 adults comfortably . One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has two large singles (a camp bed is also available if required) The villa has cable TV, and an Internet connection at no additional cost. All local calls are also free of charge. All linen is provided, and a daily maid service is included. The pool and gardens are maintained to a high standard, and a cook can be arranged if required. Due to the open plan style of the swimming pool and spiral staircase we do not recommend the villa for guests with young children or non-swimmers. ACTIVITIES: Grenada has a wealth of interesting places to visit and so here we are just a few of our favorites. The market at St Georges is a noisy, colourful and fragrant experience not to be missed. The best day to visit is Saturday as this is when you will find it at it's busiest. There is always a bewildering array of not just Nutmeg, but a huge number of other locally grown spices such as cloves, ginger, vanilla, cinnammon, and mace ,along with many fruits and local produce. With Grenada being such a lush tropical island there are of course some beautiful waterfalls to be found. The most well known being Concord Falls and Annandale Falls. In reaching these waterfalls you will drive through some stunning scenery. The Carenage is perhaps what earns St Georges it's reputation for being the prettiest town in the Caribbean. There are a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly making for a enjoyable day out. Often there are visiting Tall Ships in the harbour providing a wonderful backdrop to this most picturesque town. Grenada offers some great diving for all experience levels and there are many wrecks ( including of course the 600' Italian liner the Bianca C ) and a variety of reefs all within easy reach.
