For those that prefer sightseeing, just a short walk from Cancun Plaza are the Mayan ruins of "Ruinas el Rey." which date back to A.D. 1200. You can visit more Mayan ruins in the city of Tulum or take a sightseeing trip to Isla Mujeres. Golfers can visit one of Cancun's four (4) golf courses. Two are located just a five minute bus ride from Cancun Plaza. The other two are located on each tip of the peninsula. Beautiful views and scenic sites can be found on each of them. If water sports are an interest to you, Aquaworld would be the place to visit. Just a short Bus ride from Cancun Plaza, they offer parasailing, boating, and jet ski rentals.
