Casa Colonial Cozumel - Cozumel Mexico (Cozumel)

We make things easy for you. As soon as our guests arrive they are greeted and escorted to their villa. Upon entering Casa Colonial, take in the beauty of our lush, tropical garden.

After a long journey, trade in those hot traveling clothes for a swim suit! Go ahead and pamper yourself; the fresh water pool is cool and refreshing.

Or perhaps you would like to whip up a favorite Margarita recipe and sit in the Jacuzzi while soaking up the "tropicool" surroundings! When you feel like it, just jump right into the deep end of our spacious pool, grab a float and stay a while!

Casa Colonial has also dedicated an outdoor shower, dive rinse tank and rack area especially for our diving guests. Enjoy the feel of a presurized water shower after a day in the sea. Experience the colors and details of the hand painted Mexican tiles we used to finish this very special area.

Casa Colonial is diver friendly and we cater to your specific needs. Just ask!

A long day of diving can also build up an appetite. Stoke up the barbecue grill and cook your favorite meals while lounging around pool side, or relaxing in one of our hammocks! These are just some of the extras that you will enjoy as a guest at Casa Colonial.

We wanted to create a "getaway" in the Heart of San Miguel that combined Mexican Colonial Architecture with all of the modern conveniences of today. It had to be lively and festive. It needed to be elegant yet simple. The garden setting had to be tropical and serene. The idea was; when you woke up in the morning, you knew you were in Cozumel Mexico and not just another generic "room". And finally, it had to represent "Luxury without the price tag". These were the ideas that created Casa Colonial. A new oasis in the heart of Cozumel Island.

Living in a villa in town gives you a wonderful opportunity to participate in town life while representing exceptional value over conventional hotel rooms. Our numerous features and amenities offer an environment much like being in your own home; but your not..... Your on Cozumel! Compare Casa Colonials list of amenities to a hotel.

You can get up in the morning and have coffee and some quiet time on the patio without having to dress up to go to a restaurant. Or you can blend your own Margarita and sip it by the pool or Jacuzzi while taking in the sun!

The cost of renting at Casa Colonial compares favorably with the cost of a hotel for the same period of time, especially if you need multiple bedrooms for your fellow travelers. A washer and dryer come with each villa and the grocery store is located a block and a half away! These two amenities alone will save you a substantial amount compared to hotel living. When was the last time you had remote control air conditioning, and a State of the art stereo system in your hotel room!

At the same time, In the heart of town, you'll enjoy the street vendors that sell fresh fruits and vegetables. The "panadero", which is the bakery on wheels passes by every evening. Cheese, tamales, and other offerings are available from street vendors, straight from their kitchens.

Remember, your on vacation! Relax and take a walk! There are some great shops near Casa Colonial. You can go window shopping and buy some of the famous Mexican handicrafts on the avenue (and the pricing is better then the "downtown" shops as well).
ACTIVITIES: Until recently Cozumel was known as strictly a divers paradise. It has grown into a destination resort which serves the needs of all travelers. We can give you the inside information on places to go and things to do, including:

Diving, Deep sea fishing, Snorkeling, Sailing, Horseback riding, Lobster cruises, Swim with the Dolphins, Parasailing, Jet Skis, Mayan Ruins, Jungle Tours, Birding, Windsurfing, Beach combing, riding in a real submarine, and much more!

Swim with the Dolphins:
Perhaps riding dolphins is more your speed. Well thanks to "progress" we now have a special place where you can do that! They will perform special tricks for you and you can watch them get their rewards! Actually, the dolphin encounter program is located in Chankanaab park, which is located on the southwest side of the island. The park has a beach, replica of a Mayan village, lagoon, and a tropical forest with iguanas the size of small dragons! Seriously, it's a fun place to spend a day. You can even learn something about the old Mayan way of life.

Deep Sea Fishing:
So instead of swimming with them you want to catch them and eat them?! Shame on you! Actually we don't eat flipper but we do like his counterpart with the same name. Dolphin (fish), Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Tuna and SHARK are just some of the fish caught in our waters!

Mayan ruins:
The Mayan civilization is ancient and full of mysteries. Many ruins have been discovered here on Cozumel and there are still many more which have yet to be uncovered. A walk through the Jungle (with a guide and insect repellent) can be a lot of fun and full of discovery. Birders love it too!

DINING/RESTARUANTS:
Type: Villa No. of Rooms: 4 Beach Location: Off Beach (Tropical Setting)
