News Cafe Sosła - Dominican Republic ()

Furnishings include 2 twin beds, a table and 2 chairs. Ceiling ventilators provide a comfortable inside temperature. Because of our location and various building measures, we can provide an environment of comparatively high security. As a further security option, our guests may deposit their valuables, free of charge, in our central safe. Finally, we always have water, warm water and electricity due to our backup systems (North American and European newcomers may take this for granted; frequent travelers know better!).

To international visitors of the Caribbean there are few places which can be reached so conveniently as the vacation town of Sosua. International flights from all over the world arrive at the International Airport of Puerto Plata, the largest airport on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. From there, a few more minutes by car or bus (for approx. 8km) takes you to the town of Sosua.

The News Cafe' of Sosua has meanwhile become one of the oldest Cafe'/Bars in Sosua. Besides the usual local and international drinks, we provide snacks and a pleasantly entertaining atmosphere. While our young (or young at heart) clientel is kept in good spirits with the best international hits, the new arrivals can obtain essential facts about our town and country from our unconventional team. Thru our Fax/Telephone/Internet services, visitors may maintain the required level of communication with their freinds or loved ones remaining at home.

For sport enthusiasts, who wish to remain informed even while on vacation, we always have the results of the most important sporting events available. Our satellite and/or cable TV system frequently permits live viewing of the most important events.

Because of our intimate and timely knowledge of the island and its people, the Cafe' is a good starting point for island-wide discovery trips or thru the local night life.
