ACTIVITIES: There are a lots of fun activities to enjoy during your visit in Cayman. Here is the short list of some of Seagull visitor's favorites:

1. Take an Early Morning Walk on the Beach
Force yourself to get up early at least one day during your visit and enjoy the peaceful solitude of Seven Mile Beach. The morning light, sun angles, and quiet make this a unique time to experience the beach.

2. Enjoy the Beach and Swim in the Ocean
Without a doubt you'll spend lots of time on Seagull's beautiful Beach enjoying the sights and sounds of the Caribbean Sea. The prevailing winds, which blow across the island toward the sea, make for usually calm waters. The Crystal Clear water and fine white sand make this water seem more like a swimming pool than a sea. The beach is equipped with plenty of beach chairs and an outdoor beach bar next door provides cool drinks if you wish to purchase them.

3. Swim with the Stingrays on a Stingray City Tour
No visit to Cayman is complete without a trip to Stingray City to swim with Cayman's docile stingray population. The scenic boat ride to a sand bar in the island's central bay is reason enough to go. The chance to snorkel and watch these large graceful creatures is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There are many tour operators taking trips to Stingray City who are listed in the Yellow Pages. There are also opportunities to dive with the stingrays through several dive guide operators.

4. Snorkel or Dive the Beautiful Cayman Reefs
Although there are many outstanding snorkeling areas, two favorites are Cemetery Reef and Smith's Cove. To get to Smith's Cove turn right out of the condo driveway and proceed through downtown Georgetown. The Cove, a public beach, is on the right about a mile or so out of Georgetown. To get to Cemetery Reef turn left out of the condo parking lot. Just continue north on West Bay Road until you see a graveyard on the last (several miles north). There is a public access pathway to the beach. Both of these snorkeling areas are worth the effort to get there.

5. Take an Atlantis Submarine Ride
If you don't dive, the Atlantis submarine ride is a must for all Cayman visitors. The submarine descends to about 125 feet depth and gives great views of the aquatic life around Cayman. You're able to see the "Walls" that divers speak of where the ocean seems to drop-off to an endless gray abyss. For those who prefer to stay above, there are Glass Bottomed boat rides available in Georgetown.

6. Walk the Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Gardens
Only about a 45 minute drive from Seagull, the Queen Elizabeth II botanical gardens offers both natural and formal gardens featuring the native and Caribbean flora. The drive provides a chance to see the Caymanian countryside beyond Seven Mile Beach.

7. Go to Hell
Yes you can visit Hell on Grand Cayman. You can enjoy the unique rock formations and even send your friends a postcard with a postmark of "Hell" from the post office there.

8. Learn to Dive
For those willing to commit their vacation time there is no better opportunity to learn to dive than in Cayman. The visibility is outstanding at about 200+ feet and the absence of most dangerous sea predators make this an excellent place to learn. The many shallow reefs offer even the beginner almost limitless diving opportunities. Of course, for certified divers, Cayman offers world famous diving with plentiful dive boat operators.

9. Explore and Shop in Georgetown
There is lots of "duty free" shopping in Georgetown. These shops are often crowded with cruise ship passengers but on days when no ships are in it is worth the trip. Learn about the history and heritage of the Caymanian people at the Cayman Islands National Museum.

10. Tour the Turtle farm
Located at the north end of Seven Mile Beach, the turtle farm gives visitors an up close look at Caymans best known aquatic friends. You may want to handle the young hatchlings or just marvel at the mature "monsters". They're all here!

11. Go Parasailing, Sailing, Windsurfing, or Rent a Jet Ski
Red Sail Sports, located at Royal Palms immediately next door to Seagull's beach has all kinds of water sports rentals and tours. No driving needed, they are all only a few steps away.

12. Enjoy a Cayman Sunset
The orientation of Seven Mile Beach toward the west makes for unforgettable sunsets. Find a quiet spot on the beach, enjoy your favorite refreshment, wait and watch as another Caymanian day in paradise comes to a fitting end.
