A very bad choice

Carls Unique Inn, Orange Grove, Cole Bay, St. Maarten
“Carls Unique Inn” is in a true sense unique: we can´t imagine that you could find a worse place on the island. We stayed there 1 night (too long!) from Feb. 24th to 25th. The place is situated in an industry area and faces a very poor housing area, so to speak. The room was stinking like an old ashtray – obviously a smokers paradise. The (very friendly and understanding) lady at the reception could not give us another room. The breakfast was very poor: some juice, tea or coffee, some pastry – all self service. Conclusion: pay some 30 $ more and go somewhere else!
