Wow -- you guys really had a horrible stay at our little pice of paridise.

I's like to clarify a few things to those out there that read this review:

1 -- we are not a hotel, we are privatly owned villas and condos

2 -- Alberto does smoke, not chain as you indicated and he does not go into the villas with lit cigaretts....he is not even allow in his own home with a lit cigarette

3-- they would not write those reviews about themselves -- their english is not perfect and we would be abl to tell if they wrote them.

4 -- I am an owner and 85% of the people who stay at my place are very happy with the complex -- there is a 15% that you can not satify no matter what.

5 -- You are in the tropics, even the cleanest houses have ants and scorpions, there is nothing you can do to prevent this

6--Our area is not sketchy nor unsafe....it is one of the safest places in all of Mexico. Our raod can be difficult after a huge rain but we try hard to maintain it. I drive down it regualrily with a car without icident

7 -- your infomation is a little wrong, there was no sandy's....Sandy was the name of Cristinas cat in Italy. Cris and Alberto built those villas with their own 2 hands

8 -- about the air conditioner....you may have been staying in a owners place and Alberto may not have had the authority to refund your money.

I'd like to wrap this up by saying that as an owner I find it appauling to use such distructive words said about people who are good. Cris and Alberto are in the complex to take care of business, they are not tour guides and do not have a lot of time to socialize. They are good people who work hard. I bought 4 years ago and have been very happy with the place.

It is in my opinion, and only my opinion, but the words you used in your review say a lot about the way you probably handled yourself with Cristina and Alberto. You get what you give and maybe that is the reason you had such a terrible time.

We stayed at sandy's last february, we found all very comfortable like described on the web site , included the owners very friendly, personally I think you was in your review very rude and conflictive at them maybe you need more vacation during the year around.

This review was pointed out to me by someone who is going to Sandys in December. I am an owner of a condo at Sandys and I just have to say that none of these allegations are true. The place is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Cristina and Alberto do everything they can to make sure everyone who visits has a great time.

I had already booked a stay at Sandys Villas when I found this scary review. Needless to say, I was worried and upset about the prospect of spending my vacation in the conditions described. If you find yourself in the same situation, rest assured, the facilities are as described and photographed. The condos are fairly rustic - not luxury. Everything was clean and in working order, there was plenty of support if ever needed as Cristina, Alberto and the manager were on site and reasonably available. I'm sorry this reviewer didn't have the vacation he expected. I expect that the tone and attitude expressed in his review is a better indicator of why his experience was so bad rather than the condidtion of Sandy's Villas.
