Great Vacation

We just got back from a great stay at the Xcaret Resort. My husband and I and 3 boys - ages 18, 16 and 13 would definetly go back again. The food was great at all of the restaurants, the staff was very friendly and the resort is beautiful. We were very worried about not having a big enough beach, but the volleyball court is full-sized and that is what we wanted to do on the beach. Our rooms were nothing special, but were nice enough. The bar was re-stocked every day and cute towel animals were left on the table each day too. The kids enjoyed the waterpolo and volleyball matches in the pool, the archery and riflery and tennis. The day spent in Xcaret park was wonderful - swimming with the dolphins was the highlight of my youngest son's life! The older boys enjoyed the disco and met lots of kids their own ages. The only negatives about the resort were that twice, we locked ourselves out of the room and had to get new keys - and they didn't ask for ID - they just gave us new keys. Also, if you put a glass down in the hallway, it might still be there 3 days later - it seems it's noone's job to clean up dishes, etc. in the halls. However, you do have to just tell yourself that you are in a foreign country and they don't necessarily work to our specifications. All in all, it was a great trip and we would go back again.
