My husband and I stayed at the El Dorado Royale For the last week of September into the first week of October.To those people who have never been to Mexico,as we were, I would tell you don't worry about a thing if you are staying here.The service was impeccable,the people were exstremely friendly, the resort was 1st class, and the beach was amazing! We read all of the negative reviews before we left and were very concerned.That all disappeared the minute we arrived.We had no trouble with dinner reservations, we were able to make them 3 nights in advance. So we only visited the reservations desk twice all week, and it took maybe 5 minutes.We were also told that the resort was at full capacity,but we ran into no trouble getting food or drinks,and the beach was not at all crowded. Now if you wanted a cabana or hut you did need to get out before 10am.Our room was so clean everyday and smelled so nice.There is an on-staff photographer there, wich was so nice capturing phots of us together at the pool, wich were available for purchase next day very cheaply.We loved them so much we asked him for a private photo shoot on the beach,and he gladly obliged.The photos are amazing! We were so glad we did it for our own memories.If I had one thing to say even close to negative would be that the food was different.If you keep an open mind and don't expect Americanized food you'll be fine.We never went hungry.We did think the room service food was very good, so if your meal left something to be desired, room service is 24 hours and the come in and set your table nicely.It worked out perfect for breakfast.One more thing. I read the comments about the beach being topless, and most everyone said it was only a few European women-(as I said before the were at full capacity so it might have been different)but don't be fooled if you are very conservative. There were many topless women and they were everywhere. At the beach and at all the pools. Some just walking around.Although I did not see any around the common areas or the rooms.It is shocking at first,but you do kinda get used to it. It's women of EVERY shape and size and the very smallest percent of them were fit.That is what the most shocking part was.No one cares though.So let it all hang out at the El Dorado Royale.We did,and we were planning our next trip back by the second day.We met a couple that were on their 4th stay there.We understood after a very short time.It was amazing!
