Just got back. First - the place is beautiful- the grounds are kept immaculate. Food was good- not superb, but nicely presented. As far as hard to make reservations, never ate later than 8:00, so no real problem. The room (216 oceanfront) was very nice- no water or fridge problems, and overlooked a secondary pool and a nice view of the ocean. The jacuzzi is a nice touch, as well as the hammock on your patio. Things are slow here, and activity is minimal, although we wondered if because our weather wasn't very good. Did use the bikes, and kayaks and paddle boats. As far as the beach, as other reviews have said- it is sort of ugly, but clear and cool fish swimming up to your feet! The nightlife is mellow. The shows start at 9:00 and last only 45 minutes, after which sometimes there was karaoke, or just listening to the live bands.
This is a great place for a relaxing vacation. The staff were very nice and almost all spoke English. All in all- a great time.
