Just got back from five days at this very fine resort. The rooms, staff and common areas, pool and beach were first rate. It may be the best value I've seen in a resort. In the US a hotel of this quality would be $250 a night without the food, drinks and activities. Great for families with preteen kids and couples. Not many singles. The crowd is nice. Mostly Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, and Italians. Friendly, but not big partiers. Complaints: The desserts were not very good. Pretty to look at but bland and tasted the same. Unfortunately, the pastry chef has never discovered chocolate. Not one chocolate dessert in five days! The gymn is almost a joke. Have seen better in homes. The specialty Mexican restaurant should be avoided. Very long wait for mediocre meal. The disco is nice but doesn't start until 11:00. The staff tries to get it going, but pretty sparsley attended. It would be a lot better if the nightly show and disco were all moved up an hour.
These complaints should not distract from my overall general comments at the beginning. We had a great time and highly recommend it.
