We got a really good deal on this resort and after reading many reviews we decided we'd go for our 2 year anniversary. First of all, there are no 'beachfront rooms', which is fine if you're expecting that, like we were from reading the other reviews. The resort is located on the side of a mountain, across the street from the beach. You can't see the water from the resort at all. You have to take a shuttle to the beach or walk down a really steep hill to get there. The beach is shockingly small, but it was still pretty and never over-crowded. We just brought all of our beach stuff down in the morning and stayed there all day, going from the pool to the ocean. The food was really good and it was nice to have so many choices of where to eat instead of just one restaurant. Our room was very nice/clean but the bed was horrible! It was two twin beds pushed together with a king sheet on top. The staff was super-nice and even though it says no tipping, a lot of people did because the Jamaican natives really make it known how poor they are. Don't expect fast service, because they are on 'Jamaican time' and aren't in a hurry to do anything! I would recommend this resort as long as you are informed ahead of time of what to expect. It's Jamaica-you can't help but enjoy it.
