wonderful view, great location, ideal for independent tourist

We loved this place, the view is wonderful, the house is beautifully designed, and in a convenient location. The house has louvered doors all along the front opening to the terrace, and the house gets a good breeze from the hill. The bay beach is down the road (10 minute walk) but the really nice beaches are deserted and accessible by motorbike taxi or car.
Wonderful for independent tourist who can walk to the restaurants, internet access, cafes, boat to the island of caya levantado. There is some noise from the town, mainly music, which didn't bother us, since its everywhere in dominican republic.
We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the real dominican republic and not a tourist hotel. Check out their website www.dotsperinch.com/samana/carlos.
