Incredible Atmosphere

First off let me say that this resort is not for everyone. This resort is definetely for divers and for those who do not need a great deal of luxury on their vacation. Bananarama was clean and comfortable as well as within our budget. The new owners were helpful and assisted us with any need we had. The kayaks and beach chairs are free as guests and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts out overlooking the ocean.
The diveshop is truely what Bananarama is about however. Mal, our divemaster was extremely safe and shared a great deal of knowledge which we appreciated even though we have logged over 100 dives each. It feels safe to see the first aid kit and oxygen on board "just in case".
The beach was also a high point. The sand is an off white color and the water is the caribbean blue everyone dreams about. We enjoyed snorkeling right off the shore in the marine park, which in my opinion offered some of the best marine life we saw. I still can not believe the size of the parrot fish we saw.
The new bar and restaurant were just opening while we were their. The new palapa beach bar definitely offers the island dream we were looking for.
I would reccommend this resort to anyone.
