we stayed here for two weeks in november 2004. it was promoted as a first rate hotel with several restaurants, including a japanese. the in room barbados magazine had a glowing review of the hotel, mentioning the japanese dining, the lift to the beach and generally patting itself on the back. The Japanese restaurant was not open, not even built, likewise the lift to the beach. The hotel is a shambles, like a
building site, the hot water functioned on only two days out of the two weeks. The building work was intolerable. The American children noisy and badly behaved. The pool furniture was tatty, only one unbrella. The beach furniture was tatty and the rickety stairs to the beach itself dangerous and not wheelchair friendly.
