Sufers Haven is not what it advertises to be online. We are young fun travelers-not expecting luxury accomodations and still had a horrible experience.
To begin with, the manager was the rudest person I have ever delt with. He would not tell us directions to anywhere, would leave us along in the house for nights at a time, not returning to check on us, and was so rude making our stay very awakward. We would ask simple questions and he refused to answer them and would act like we invaded his island (then came to mention he has only been there for less than a year!!!)
We met another guest who left after 1 night because the manager was so rude and his room was so gross (the manager actually told him they don't change the pillowcases).
The bed gave me over 25 bug bites, the stove didn't work, and we came home to homeless territorial dogs in the yard twice-to the point where we had to carry a large piece of wood w/ us inside incase the dogs followed us (as they had the night before)-this is coming from an animal lover.
Never stay here-the island is beautiful so don't ruin your trip! It is very disapointing that Surfers Haven is such a disaster.
