My husband and I returned from Viva yesterday. I own a travel agency and am warning you not to go there. They are rated as 3 stars, but do not deserve that rating. The service was horrible, the food was worse! All of the entertainment started late, and was too far and few between to fill up the day. The room was disgusting and the staff ignored our complaint about the very noisy neighbors who insisted on staying up all hours of the night. The drinks were free, but watered down. We couldn't even taste the alcohol in them. The food was cold and bland. Birds fly around in the indoor restaurant, so that was disgusting. Activities listed on the pamphlet they provide upon check in weren't accurate, and when we need another copy, it was different. So, they hand out two revisions. It mentions pizza every night at the disco, but it didn't ever show up on time, if at all, and when it did, it was cold and hard. The DJ at the disco tended to play mostly rap music. The beach was ok, but it was hard to relax because vendors kept bothering us to buy shirts and jewelry or have my hair braided (which is very short). We ended up spending the last few days at another beach so we could enjoy our vacation. The Bahamas was lovely but this resort sucked. I will not recommend it to any of my clients.
