A friend and I just returned from this resort yesterday. It was by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. We came over on the Discovery ship which was lovely, clean and good food. Upon arrival we were told we had to wait for an hour for check in. When we got to our room we were horrified. The room was filthy; peeling pain on both walls and furniture and the shower (no bathtub) was far from clean. We called the desk and complained and were given another room which was much better but about 1/4 mile from the activities. There were no soda machines nor ice machines so if we wanted these things we had to walk the half-mile to the main desk to get them. The food was horrible. Everything was served buffet style and it was never hot. We were able to make a reservation in the Italian specialty restaurant for one night and the food there was equally bad. The drinks were absolutely watered down. Never even got a buzz from them. The beach, however, was beautiful so we spent most of our days there. Very happy to leave the place and come home. This was a time-share promotion and just proves that you get what you pay for. If you're considering a vacation and you're ove 30, DON'T GO THERE.
