We stayed at this resort in 2004, 2005, and most recently in 2006. During our stay in 2005, we advised management the place was starting to look a bit run down - and were told there would be extensive renovations before the 2006 season. So we booked a return trip. We learned the resort was sold to new owners, and received a letter a few weeks before our arrival promising cave showers, among many other improvements. Not! Our room was the same as before - discolored and broken floor tiles, bathrooms running away with rust, poor water pressure and showers that went from freezing to scalding with no warning. After complaining about that, we had no pressure (which was fixed right away). We were later told the new owners thought about closing the resort for renovations but decided to honor past bookings - we feel we were clipped paying top dollar for a substandard room and will never return to Frangipani.
