I second this review.We syayed at the same resort July 10-15. We arrived and the front desk did not have our reservation,even though we booked it back in March. An hour later they informed us that they finally found us a room that obviously was not ready for guests.Our mini fridge that was supposed to be stocked was empty and broken,there were no towels,and it was 90 degrees in our room. We had been flying all day so I decided to take a shower, but to my surprise the water was ice cold and did not heat up. We called for an iron and ironing board so we could iron our clothes for dinner and 3 weeks later we're still waiting for these. We decided to go down and get something to eat but ALL ofthe restaurants were closed and we could not eat without reservations. So we decided to go to the buffet,and it also was cerido so the sign said.Our brochure said it opened for dinner at 6;00 but it did not open until 6:45. I could go on and on about our 5 day vacation from hell and I will but right now my hands are tired. I will resume with day 2 tomorrow.

I stayed at this resort just last week and I am sorry to hear that you had such a horrible experience because my stay was wonderful! Marcos and carlos from costumer service were wonderful, food was good, the rest of the staff were very friendly and our room was excellent.

You cannot be closer to the truth. I just returned from this resort and will never go back. Service is horrible unless you are one of the dozens from Italy. The Italians have their own wing on the resort and have ocean view. The Italians are the only ones to get the 11:00 sandwich buffet, and they are so rude knowing all along that they get preferential treatment. Stay away from this resort!

I totally agree with this post. Booked 4 night reservations but once we got there we wanted to leave. The resort in general was dirty. Rooms were smelly and had a feeling of a cheap motel. All the buffet food was not kept at proper temp (everything luke warm even milk). We decide to leave and called our booking company to change our reservations to Secrets Capri(which we have stayed at before and loved). We unfortunately had to stay one night at Grand Oasis Riviera Maya because Secret didnt have anything open till the next day. When we finally changed our reservations to Secrets our booking company had to charge us for 2 extra nights at GORM as a penalty making us pay for 3 of the 4 night reservation. We were soo discussed we decided to go ahead and make the resort change. I would not recommend this resort to anyone unless they greatly improved the cleanliness and food.
