Review: Great Coffee and Breakfast
A great spot to get your morning coffee in Playa del Carmen. Also, the "Diego Bagel" was a great light breakfast to start the day.

Also...Espresso, cappuccino, gourmet coffees, pastries & cakes, ice blended mochas, sandwiches, bagels, box lunches. Java Joe's is located on 5th Ave. (the main drag) between 10 & 12 Nte.

Favorite Dish:
The "Diego Bagel" is the best!

Two things: Java Joes is no longer on 5th ave; it is on Calle 10 between 5th ave and 10th ave, near La Rana Cansada.
The veggie bagel and the Pia's are my favorite! Yummm. Good coffee, good people and lots of local color.

I took this review as a recommendation and dropped in. A man who identified himself as "Java Joel the owner" struck up a conversation with me and asked about the purpose of my visit to Playa. When I said I was considering starting a business down here, he spent the next 45 minutes making negative digs about every contact I mentioned having had met on my trip down here.

If starting out your morning with bad energy and negative gossip is your cup of tea--don't pass this spot up.
