Location Overview / Where is Puerto Aventuras located?:
Puerto Aventuras is located at the the middle of what's named the Riviera Maya or sometimes called the Mayan Riviera. It's about 40 minutes south of Cancun's International Airport and 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. This area stretches from Cancun all the way south to Tulum. Geographiclly speaking the entire area is part of the Yucatan Peninsula.
The state is called Quintana Roo.
The Yucatan peninsula is an area that swoops up toward Florida. It is only approx. 500 miles from Miami, Florida.
Latitude/Longitude at the Cancun airport is: 21* 02' 000" lat. 86* 53' 000" long.

Group Travel When traveling in a large group, it is helpful to either tie the same brightly colored ribbon or affix a brightly colored piece of tape on every piece of luggage. This aids in being able to spot each other's luggage at all times.

Food Common sense can greatly reduce your chances of coming down with food or water related illnesses. Firstly, do not over indulge in spicy Mexican foods and pitchers of margaritas or strong Mexican beer during the first few days of your trip. Eat and drink in moderation. Language Spanish is the main language of Mexico with the native Mayan being spoken only by a small minority of the population. In the more tourist trodden parts of the country such as Cancun many people will have a basic knowledge of English. Despite this, it is helpful to have at ones disposal at least a smattering of Spanish.
