Bonaire is part of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao), which are located 75 miles (120 KM) off the coast of Venezuela in the Caribbean Sea. It is a 3 hour flight from Atlanta, 2½ hours from Miami, and 8 hours from Amsterdam. There are direct flights from these cities twice a week and connecting flights every day. Bonaire covers roughly 111 square miles, with a width that ranges from 3 to 7 miles and a length of approximately 24 miles. Bonaire is the second largest island of the Netherlands Antilles, the westernmost group of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Bonaire is the B of the ABC islands with her sister islands of the Dutch Caribbean - Aruba and Curacao. latitude/longitude (GPS): 12°10' N 68°17' W Bonaire is south of Caribbean hurricane belt and is rarely threatened.
