Just okay.

We enjoyed our stay at Sandwood however with a few gliches. The hosts Andy and Ruth while both very nice are abit worn down. When things didn't go the way Andy wanted them to go he turned very cranky and who needs cranky from a host when on vacation.
They have a strange way of doing business. The first night we were there we were invited to the restaurant to eat their special homemade meal and while we were tired and not in the mood we went. Imagine our surprize to see the dinner on our bill at the end of our stay.
Mama Ruth's is grossly over priced considering most of the entree's are straight from their freezer via Sam's or Costco in Cancun. Bring your own food. A hamburger 10.00 USD in Mexico? A hot dog and chips. 8.00USD? I don't think so.
Room was very nice and very clean. Bathrooms were VERY small and poorly designed.
While we had a decent week there we would not return. I really am not interested with spending a vacation with two elderly people who while nice seemed as I said above, worn out.

Relaxing, private, beautiful ocean

We stayed at Sandwood October 7-14th had a great time. The hosts Andy and Ruth were the best and made us feel at home. The snorkeling was the best I have ever seen - right out infront of the villa. The rooms were very private and comfortable. We really enjoyed the Grocery Trucks selling all the food we could handle. We have already booked for next year - this is great place to stay and enjoy the sun and ocean.
