Great Views, Location and Villa
By: Chris Gaul from Campbellville, Ontario
Date of Visit: December 2010
I stayed at Villa Roi Soleil with my family and friends just prior to Christmas 2010. We have been to Provo many times but this was my first time on the south shore. The villa is situated on a hill with an amazing view of the ocean and some small islands. The central courtyard with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean is very private and surrounded by the kitchen, dining room, gazebo and outdoor BBQ area. We found that the patio area was sheltered and warmed up very well even on windy cooler days. The rooms and furniture had been recently upgraded from the look of things and we had no issues with cleanliness. There is a pathway down to a really nice beach that stretches for about a mile to the east (there is some rock on parts of the beach and other parts that are sandy). The water is fairly shallow in low tide so you can wade out to the small islands off the shore. At high tide the water is quite swimmable. We went out to the islands on the villa's kayak several times as well as paddling up the shore to see the other villas . There was usually a good breeze so we did not use the A/C just the ceiling fans. Main kitchen setup was amazing- view of the ocean, big dining room and adjacent outdoor bar/BBQ - super for parties. We stayed in the guest house with its own kitchen, ensuite bathroom and private deck while friends stayed in the main house- good setup for privacy. It took about 15 minutes to drive to Grace Bay and a little less to get to the grocery store. It was cooler and a little rough on Grace Bay so we only swam there once. You will need a car to get around but the island is fairly small so not to long to get anywhere. All in all a great place to stay, amazing view and a really relaxing time and at a price that was less than we spent last year for a 2 bedroom condo in Grace Bay.

VIlla is Wonderful
By: Mermaid / sharon1 from Dallas, Texas
Date of Visit: November 2009
This beautiful villa boasts some of the best views on this island. Comfortable and lovely accomodation and an infinity pool that bleeds into the azure waters fo the Caribbean Sea. Private sandy beaches are all around and the location is private and safe. The villa offered all the comforts of home--- superior beding, Plasma TV with Satellite, wireless internet, gas range and barbeque. Well you get the picture. The property manager is super and catered to our every need. We didn't want to leave as this was one of our favorite villa experiences. Super, super

Unbelievable Accommodation
By: Rhiannan from New York, New York
Date of Visit: March 2009
Wow, we just returned from this Villa, after a much-need 2 week vacation. This Villa is one of the best we've stayed in.
Not only are the views spectacular (an ocean view from everywhere) but the Villa offers all the luxuries of a first-class hotel (big screen TV with cable, wireless connection, free long distance, luxary bedding, etc).
The property manager took great care of us-- catering to our every need. The Villa was emaculate, well-cared for and looks brand new. There are also several beaches right in front of the house where we spent hours -- snorkeling, sun bathing and kayaking.
If you truly want an escape to paradise this place has it all (and for a much better price than other villas on the island). Rhiannan and Mark

Villa Roi Soleil
By: Anonymous from Georgia
Date of Visit: February 2008
We just returned from this beautiful carribean island and the food was fantastic. The whole island is pretty expensive but we planned for that. The villa really needs to be updated. It was not worth the pricey cost of staying there for a week. The cleaning people were there when we arrived and did not clean the entire villa. The furniture by the pool was all broken, the kitchen cabinets were falling off their hinges, the bathrooms had hair all over the shower and we really don't know for sure if the sheets on all the beds were washed. The infinity pool pump was broken and the pool itself has two leaks that we could see. The pump for the fountain was broken as well. They boasted having air conditioning but that was broken too! Luckily the weather was very nice this time of year.
