 Within walking distance to local restaurants, small downtown shops, mexican markeys and internet cafes, and a short ride to magnificent Tulum archaeological ruins and powdery-white beaches bathed in turquoise. Day trips to the ruins, beaches, Sian Ka´an nature reserve, and fresh water jungle cenotes are easily arranged, since we are located 3 blocks away from the bus station and taxi stand on a quiet neighborhood street. The town is 2 miles from the beach or a 5 min drive. Tulum's ruins are 2 miles away from Posada Luna del Sur, and Coba's ruins are 25 miles from Tulum (30 min drive). The caves and cenotes near Tulum offer a near magical adventure for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Sian Ka´an Natural Reserve is spectacular to meander through the jungle on a tour, for birdwatching or fishing, and to bathe in the warm waters hugged by powdery sand beaches or in the fresh water cenotes. |
