Easter At East Winds
By: Kate Cobley from Cambridgeshire, England
Date of Visit: April 2003
We spent one week at East Winds over Easter 2003. It was easily the best week away we've ever had! The cottages are big and airy with lovely bathrooms, the food is definitely to die for: smoked lamb, pan fried lobster, stuffed quail, marinated steak - I could go on and on. The staff are friendly and the beach is lovely, with the water lapping right at the edge of the bar and restaurant. There is a small reef right at the waters edge. Nothing fantastic, but enough to keep you interested (lots of fish and black spiny sea urchins but not too much in the way of fancy coral). It is possible to walk to Winjammer Landing on the other side of the cove if you want to jet ski or water ski but to be honest, it was so lovely just pottering about with a snorkel or a kayak, we never got round to it! All round, it's a lovely property - very quiet and the sevice is exceptional. We'd definitely recommend it.
