Each house offers 3 bedrooms to accommodate up to 6 guests on 900sqft/100sqm, a nice bathroom with shower and hot water, cable TV, local phone and a fully equiped kitchen in a warm atmosphere. The high wooden ceilings have fans in every room and the tasteful furnitures are made of wood and rattan. They have their own private drive way so you can enjoy silence and Saba's peaceful nature. The kitchen has a full sized american fridge/freezer combination, full sized gas range, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker.
The Level is a very quiet and peaceful residential area. It is one of the finest neighbourhoods including the homes of both Saban comissioners and other beautiful houses and gardens. If you like to buy fresh fish or lobster just walk up a 2 minutes to the end of the road where fisherman Nicky is living. Next door downhill is the home of chef Michael and Trishia from the Brigadoon restaurant, which is one of the most popular restaurants. Ask them for a ride home after you enjoyed a nice dinner.
All Villas offer a wonderful view to the Caribbean Sea and Mount Scenery. Romantic ocean sunsets can be enjoyed from October through March. |
HIKING The Saba Conservation Foundation, many local supporters, volonteers and expecially our local guide "Crocodile James" have built and maintain trails for wonderful hiking. Everyone can easily hike over and into Saba's rain forest, bizarre tidepools, historic ruins, mines, and rich nature wonderland.
DIVING The island’s commercial diving business that started in the early 1980s introduced scuba enthusiasts to the wealth of Saba’s underwater world. The establishment of the Saba National Marine Park in 1987 assured the health of the undersea environment and thus the sustainability of dive tourism, today a major contribution to the island economy. Saba plunges below the sea as steeply as it rises above it. From shallow patch reefs to deep underwater sea mountains, Saba offers dive sites suitable for every diver’s level of experience.
SNORKELING Saba has some gorgeous snorkel areas. Among the nicest is down the Well's Bay road where we also have a seasonal sandy beach sometimes during summer. During calm weather conditions you can snorkel through an open chanel at the end of the bay.
BIRDING Saba has a large amount of different bird life. Eighty seven (87) different birds have been sited on Saba. Although more than half those recorded are considered non-breeding visitors or migrants, Saba provides interesting bird watching. More than 20% of the worlds' population of Red billed Tropic Birds nest on Saba.
DINING Saba offers a wide selection of restaurants. Choices include: Angelikas' superb cuisine with fresh veggies & herbs from the El Momo garden, delicious barbeques and steak nights at Swinging Doors, incredible sushi, fresh Saban fish, lobster and prime rib at the Brigadoon, pizza at the pub Treasures, Caribbean specialty nights with steel pan music or outdoor movies with burger & fries at Tropics, high standard french cuisine at the Gate House, delicious Thai shrimp at the Rainforest cafe, complimentary slide shows before dinner about marine life or rainforest at Brigadoon & Rainforest cafe or try local fisherman Shugis' famous lobster sandwich at the harbour.
