Be aware before you go!

Grounds are well-kept, hotel is clean but appears to be understaffed in regard to maids and waiters so Service, overall, is poor. In addition to poor service attitude from some waiters, they have not been taught the proper Way to serve. My white wine either was served in a plasic tumbler or a champagne glass! There is a shortage of bathroom towels and many are in poor condition. Resort is often short on beach towels as well. Food is o.k. There is no choice of wine unless one orders a bottle from the Wine List at additional cost. It would be a plus if the resort had a dress code for the a la carte restaurants. There is only one indoor bar, which is not "conversation-friendly" in the evening.

great vacation
By: Dawn Ritter from pennsylvania
Date of Visit: March 2007
My girlfriends and I just returned from vacation at the Sunscape Resort. We had a great time. We had an oceanview room, it was great. No problems at all. Everything was clean and nice. The staff was friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was good, not fabulous, but we found everything to be good. We are older women, ages vary from 38 to 50. we definetly would go back again. Not sure why I read so many bad reviews. There is a Marina within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. They have some great resturants and shops, and the dolphin shows. I say, go and have a great time!

The Best Vacation I Have Ever Had!!
By: Stanley Hampton from Covina, California, USA
Date of Visit: May 2006
I spent a week at the Suncape Resort with my wife and two other couples starting May 17th and left on May 24th. This was the best vacation of my life.
The first day we arrived we were greeted with live music, champagne and the best coconut shrimp I have ever tasted. The customer service was exceptional. Everone of the employees at this resort would go the extra mile to assure customer satisfaction.
There are four resturants at this resort and you can order anything on the menu. I really enjoyed this all inclusive package and ate everything that I wanted. The room service was wonderful, whenever we left the room they would come in and streighten up the place. They kept the refrigerator stocked with beer and bottle water. We had a great view of the swimming pools and the ocean from our room.
At this resort everything you want on a vacation is there. Every night there was some kind of activety such as a magic show or different musical entertainment groups and fashion shows. You don't have to leave the site to have a great time. I would definitely return again. The resort is very clean, the rooms, the hallways and all the grounds around the resort.

Excellent. Will return!!!
By: Erin Will from Oshkosh, WI
Date of Visit: May 2006
Hello! My husband and I just returned from Sunscape Puerto Adventuras on May 20th. We spent five nights there for our honeymoon. We absolutley loved everything about our trip! All of those people who gave bad reviews are nuts. What they describe in their reviews is not the Sunscape we experienced. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We were met at the shuttle with a refreshing drink and it just kept getting better. We were in an OCeanview Deluxe room and it was incredible. There was an amazing view of the beach and ocean and we could hear music wafting into our room in the evening. Our room was always in excellent condition. When we arrived there was a honeymooners banner on the door and heart shaped towel sculpture sprinkled with flower petals. We always had clean towels, and a stocked minibar. We also received turn down service everynight with chocolates and a card with the weather forcast and sunrise time for the following day. We also received a newsletter each night that had all of the activities, and enetertainment for the following day, along with restaurant hours, and a "drink of the day". We did the Coba Mayan Tour and it was amazing!!!!! We also walked down to the Marina and shops several times and took a trip into Playa Del Carmen. We did snorkeling and kayaking as well. We were able to relax and rest or be totally busy, it was entirley up to us. The food was good to excellent, most being excellent. The only returant we did not try was Oceana, as I do not like seafood. We tried a lot of different drinks and enjoyed all of them. As for a few of the complaints I have read: 1. Our room was available immediatley. 2. Everything worked in our room. 3. Always had hot water and water pressure was so great almost knocks you over, it was incredible. 4. Ocean view amazing. 5. The rooms, beach, pools, common areas , etc.. were very clean. 6. So maid service wasn't there by noon. Do you clean your house by noon everyday? We had a clean room, clean towels, and full minibar every day. They would also put new towels in and straighten up when they did turn down service. 7. Service was excellent as stated above. We only waited one night to be seated at a resturaunt, we went and had a drink and came back, no big deal. How is this any different from any returaunt you would go to in the states? I could rave for three more pages, but I will finish by saying the best part of our experience was the service. EVERYONE at Sunscape is amazing. I would like to give special acknowledgements to the following, though: Rene and Leo (bellhops), Carlos (bartneder), Edgar (waiter Seaside Grill), and Lupe (housekeeping). These were just a few of the employees who went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and make our honeymoon amazing. We plan to come back for our one year wedding anniversary, and our second, and our third....Thank you!
