The luxurious Club Viva Maya is located near Playa del Carmen, Mexico at the Playacar complex, 1.3 miles from the town of Playa del Carmen. Club Viva Maya is an all-inclusive resort located directly on 600 feet of dazzling white sand and is surrounded by beautiful green gardens.

 Viva Maya is situated on smooth Playacar Beach in the Riviera Maya along Mexico’s Caribbean coast. Located 40 minutes from Cancún, the Riviera Maya is the gateway to a fascinating voyage through ancient ruins and culture that still thrives today.
Guests can “ruin” an afternoon by visiting several major Mayan archaeological sites - Chichen Itza, Tulum, Xel Há and Cobá.
Chichen Itza is a domed observatory famous for its accurate modern astronomical information. The entire complex serves as a giant calendar or cosmic clock so to speak. Other intriguing sites include the Temple of the Thousand Columns and the fantastic Pyramid of Kukulcan.
Tulum and Xel Há offer the ideal combination for a one-day tour. Tulum, the only archaeological Mayan ruin located by the sea, provides travellers with insight into a magical ancient world. A tour of Xel Há offers a versatile experience rich in activities and encounters. By combining both attractions into one full-day tour, visitors will be able to enjoy two of Mexico’s rich historical sites in one single day.
Cobá is a fascinating example of ancient Mayan civilization. An experienced archaeological guide leads visitors to Cobá through the ruins and is on-hand to answer questions regarding the site’s nature and history.
Xcaret is another popular attraction for Viva’s guests to see. Xcaret is considered nature’s sacred paradise because for more than ten centuries it was one of the most important Mayan ceremonial centers and seaports.
Today, Xcaret is an incredible eco-archaeological park where visitors can spend an entire day exploring its sites. When the sun sets and the day’s activities have quieted down, Xcaret turns into a fairytale site that only the descendants of Maya have known about for the past 1,000 years.
Although not included in the all-inclusive rates, off-property outings are encouraged, and can be easily arranged at either property’s tour desk.

 Viva Wyndham Maya encourages guests to bring hearty appetites when visiting the all-inclusive resort. Designed to satisfy the palates of its guests, this resort offers an eclectic blend of local and international culinary delights.
Menus draw on Caribbean, Mexican and European influences and feature plenty of American specialties. Breakfast, lunch and dinner feature a full range of savory cuisines, all prepared by local and international chefs.
Some of the offerings include an international-style buffet, an Italian a la carte dinner restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, and a Mediterranean-style restaurant.
In addition to sumptuous mealtime dining, light snacks and drinks are available throughout the day at each resort’s cocktail lounge and beach bar.
Viva Wyndham Maya features 3 bars and 3 restaurants:
“La Terraza” – international buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“Viva Mexico” – grill restaurant buffet for lunch, and Mexican menu a la carte for dinner (reservations required for dinner).
“Portofino” – Mediterranean cuisine restaurant a la carte, open for dinner, reservations required.
In addition guests can enjoy the following restaurants at the sister property Viva Wyndham Azteca:
“La Scala” – Italian restaurant open for dinner only, a la carte, reservations required.
“Bambu” – Oriental restaurant open for dinner only, a la carte, reservations required.
Also, guests can enjoy the new Viva Café, located in beautiful Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Guests staying at the two hotels can choose to dine at this restaurant as many times as they want during their stay. Open for dinner only, from 7 pm until 11 pm, reservations are required for the restaurant and can be made through guest services. The bar is open until 2 am.
There is an added charge of US$10 per person, per visit, for hotel guests, and this includes a full multi-course dinner, house wine, beer and soft drinks. Children under 12 years of age are free-of-charge when dining with paying adults. |
We love diving, so each of our eight beach resorts comes with a Padi 5 Stars Dive Center and an array of unique and diverse scuba sites. Not certified? Not a problem. See the dive center for one, two and three-day courses. Once you are certified, however, a whole new world will open up; the Bayahibe Coral Reef for example, or Catlina Island in the Dominican Republic. Or Moray Manor, Papa Doc Wreck and Edge of The Ledge on Grand Bahama. How about the world-famous (we kid you not) Palancar Reef In Mexico as well as Cozumel island and the fresh-water cenotes? Curious yet? Oh, and for novices, introductory lessons in the pool are part of the all-inclusive. So don’t hold your breath…‘cause we’ll give you a tank. |
