The place was beautiful and the grounds lived up to its name, but the service was awful. We were told it was "semi-all inclusive" being breakfast and dinner was included, drinks at dinner included and bottled water available free of charge (could have been a misunderstanding between travel agent and hotel?) and travel to and from airport was $35.00 round trip. Here's what actually happened: Water was $2.50 a bottle. It was available for purchase. They gave me ice and filtered water from the bar twice, then told me I had to buy water. Drinks were not included at anytime with exception of coffee and water at dinner and breakfast- although this could have been a misunderstanding between the travel agent and the resort. I asked for a glass of water at lunch and was told they didn't have glasses of water at lunch, but I could buy a bottle. The food was adequate at best. It appeared they offered two soups and two entrees and two desserts along with one salad, but 3 out of 4 times, the "second" soup was crossed out. They "ran out" of the deserts two nights, but were offered a dish of ice cream. At our purchased lunch when our food arrived cold, suddenly the English speaking waiters could no longer understand us. Finally they said they would take care of it "tomorrow", yet when pressed, they again didn't understand. We were never compensated for that. We had to continually ask for water at dinner and the waiters replied "yes, it is coming", however, they were always there to sell you soda. If a single rider took the shuttle, it was $100.00 round trip, and they couldn't calculate when a rider came with a group and left alone. I felt we were misled they were out to find ways to make you pay for things and in spite of it's beauty, I couldn't recommend it.
