beauty isn't everything

The property is beautiful and the beach great. Lots of soft sand and chairs. Hundreds of plam trees for those who wnt shade and relaxation in the hammmocks. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. But, ther service was sub-par and the bars were understaffed and made lousy drinks. The brochures say top shelf liquor and their menus list top shelf choices but getting it is a trick! The food at the dinner restaurants was not that good. Bottled wsine is unheard of. Other AI's allow you to purchase better bottles - no such thing here. The pool is nice but the swim up bar closes at 5, they don't scim off the top of the pool in the a.m so debris floats in it and try to get an extra towel! The beach is a bit of a walk and the beach bar is half way between the resort and the beach so it's a bit inconvienient to beach goers. The extra's you would expect just don't happen. For a 5 star resort we got 3 star service.

Very Nice

The staff is extremely friendly, and the hotel itself is extremely clean, I swear you could eat off of their pathways.
The ocean is breathtaking and the white sandy beaches are beautiful. There isnt much to do in the way of childrens activities, they may get bored after a couple days.
Also, the beds were very VERY firm and I dont think I got any good night sleeps when I stayed there. And the food is pretty good, although I did get a little sick of it because it is pretty much the same thing everyday. I would recommend going into town and eating a few times so you don't get bored.
Overall though, I would definately reccomend it and consider coming back!
