 Located in the Mexican Caribbean on the coast of the Riviera Maya, this all-inclusive resort is approximately 40 minutes from Cancun International Airport and just two miles away from downtown Playa del Carmen.
Within 27 miles of the hotel are Xacaret, Xel Ha, Tulum Ruins, and Cozumel. Cancun is 37 miles away. Choose among the buffets of Chula Vista, the menu at the Italian Botticelli and the snack bar at La Chiquita. Sip fruity cocktails at one of the hotels five bars--including a swim-up bar. Two swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, gym, tennis court, a kids pool and club and a host of beachside and pool activities keep guests busy all day while nightly shows and entertainment fill the evenings. An 18-hole professional golf course is across the street.
Hotel services include a currency exchange, laundry and a staff eager to help you plan excursions. This property?s all-inclusive plan includes all meals and snacks, all beverages, aerobics and aquaerobics, water basketball, beach volleyball, water polo, shows and nightly entertainment, theme parties, fully equipped gym, day-use tennis court, scuba diving demonstration, kayaks, wind surfing, snorkeling gear, bicycles, and all taxes and gratuities.
Accommodations are housed in small villas separated by winding paths and lush tropical gardens. All rooms have balconies or terraces, ceiling fans, hairdryers, air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and satellite TV with in-room movies. All-inclusive package prices are based upon double occupancy (two people per room). There is a supplemental per person charge, for each additional guest, which is not included in the price of this package. The supplement must be paid upon Check-Out from the hotel. What to expect: This resort has the feel of an oversized tree house, with its open-air lobby set under a giant palapa and its guestrooms located in a building with thatched roofs and rough-log balcony railings. The casual, fresh-air ambience and abundance of activities help draw families and couples year-after-year.
Amenity highlights: Sheltered by an offshore reef, the water along the resort's beachfront remains calm in most weather. A freeform pool contains a separate children's section. The resort provides snorkeling gear, kayaks, windsurfers, Hobie Cat sailboats, snorkeling lessons, and an introductory scuba-diving lesson. A water-sports center offers personal watercraft, parasailing, fishing, scuba-diving instruction, and snorkeling and scuba-diving excursions--all for surcharges.
Insider tip: Because it's undeveloped from the resort northward, the two-km (1.25-mile) crescent beach adjoining the resort's beachfront is prime for walking, especially at sunrise when the island of Cozumel is visible to the east. |
 An offshore reef calms the water along the resort's 75-meter (82-yard) beach, which is furnished with thatched-roof palapas. The resort’s beach adjoins a two-km (1.25-mile) undeveloped beach that continues north of the resort. For freshwater swimming, the resort includes an 87-meter-long (95-yard) freeform pool that contains a separate children's section and a swim-up bar.
The resort provides snorkeling gear, kayaks, windsurfers, Hobie Cat sailboats, snorkeling lessons, and an introductory scuba-diving lesson in the pool. An independent water-sports center at the resort offers personal watercraft, parasailing, fishing, boogie boards, scuba-diving instruction, and snorkeling and scuba-diving excursions--all for surcharges.
Use of a rooftop tennis court and rooftop basketball court is part of the All-Inclusive Plan, but guests must pay surcharges for night play under the lights. The nearest 18-hole golf course is at Playacar, 5 km (3 miles) away.

 The hotel offers 202 guestrooms in a U-shaped, four-story building with thatched roofs and rough-log balcony railings. Balconies or ground-floor terraces with chairs and cocktail tables provide views of the swimming pool or the Caribbean Sea. Minibars contain beer and soft drinks. (Guests must pay surcharges for bottled water in rooms.) Ceiling fans provide cooling alternatives to rooms' air conditioning. Furnishings and decor includes two-chair dining sets, tile floors, and white walls and ceilings. Bathrooms feature red-marble vanities and tub/shower combinations.
