 From the moment you enter through the lush tropical jungle and ride the winding road to the main entrance of El Dorado Royale, are greeted with a sparkling glass of champagne and the smile of your host, you know that you have arrived in a place where people truly make the difference.
Friendliness at El Dorado Royale is not only promised, it is fully realized. So do not be surprised when a staff member smiles at you and salutes you with a friendly "Hola", a bartender knows your favorite cocktail or the chambermaids leave a towel decoration on your bed.
“Hot tubs and Hammocks” is how one of our guests summarized the atmosphere at El Dorado Royale. We concur. Rest, relaxation and romance is our motto and it was weaved into every aspect of the property including the suites, as this is an all suite resort. The decoration of its 462 Junior Suites was inspired by local Mexican motifs, providing for a wonderfully balanced atmosphere. Each of the suites has indoor Jacuzzis so you can extend your soaking pleasure into the privacy of your accommodations. All rooms feature lovely wooden furniture including king size or double beds, nightstands, and desk.
To cool down from the warm tropical breeze, each room has individually controlled air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Other conveniences include a radio and alarm clock, safety deposit box, private bath or shower, color satellite TV, amenity kit, ironing board with iron, minibar and coffee maker.
Eight freshwater pools, six à la carte dinner restaurants, 24-hour room service, and shuttle service to Cancún and Playa del Carmen are among amenities included in room rates.
Finally, every terrace brings chairs and a hammock…there is nothing quite as relaxing as being swung softly by a gentle on-shore breeze. You may choose your accommodation from 5 available categories.
What to expect: Reserved for guests aged 18 and older, the tranquil 450-acre resort attracts couples seeking lots of space for relaxation, lively group activities if they choose to join in, and a variety of à la carte restaurants for leisurely dinners.
Amenity highlights: The resort features a 2-km (1.25-mi) beach with both sand and rocky sections, a saltwater pool surrounded by a rock wall, and eight freshwater pools, including a 73-meter-long (240-ft) main pool and four pools with swim-up bars reserved for guests of the casita section. Mondays through Saturdays, complimentary shuttle service is offered to Cancún (afternoons) and Playa del Carmen (evenings) for shopping and sightseeing. |
 While El Dorado Royale is famous for rest and relaxation, we also offer a variety of fun activities and entertainment throughout the day and at night. This way we make sure that you have a choice and truly enjoy the best of both worlds…you can relax in your hammock with a book, take a peaceful stroll down the beach or spend a romantic afternoon with your loved one. Or if you prefer, you can participate in any or all of the activities that are available from eight o’ clock in the morning until the evening hours. |
 A health-and-beauty spa with women's and men's saunas and steam rooms and a fitness center containing cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights offers massage, facials, hydromassage, and Thalassotherapy baths as well as hair and nail care, waxing, and hair braiding. Open-air massage in also available. (Surcharges for all health and beauty services.) Computers with high-speed Internet access (surcharges) are located in the main building.
The resort offers 432 guest suites in 21 three-story buildings (no elevators) with red-tile roofs and in 43 one- and two-story casitas with thatched roofs and outside wood staircases. All suites include balconies or ground-floor terraces with hammock-like teak chairs and full hammocks. Jetted tubs in windowed bedroom alcoves furnish relaxation. Decor features light-colored walls and ceilings and Mexican-style dark-wood furniture. Bathrobes provide lounging comfort. Ceiling fans offer cooling alternatives to suites' air conditioning. Minibars supply soft drinks, beer, and water.

Along with all the standard furnishings, the Casita suites feature high ceilings with a thatched roof, double sink, full bath and shower, an ocean view indoor Jacuzzi, an oversized balcony with breathtaking views of the Caribbean and a DVD player with a selection of some DVD's. We know that there will be days or special occasions when you will not feel like visiting one of the restaurants. For those special moments we have a 24-hour room service available (please see restaurant section for room-service menu). In the room, a refrigerator is stocked and replenished daily with water, soft drinks and beer. Lastly, perhaps the most unique and popular attribute of the Casita suites is the open air shower, which we call Aguas del Amor. It is truly an inspiring experience to take a moonlit shower under the stars.
