A Lovely Getaway

I'm sitting at the bar at Lost Beach Resort as I write this, waiting for my Lobster Pizza. While surfing the web (WiFi here at the bar) I found this site and its only review of Lost Beach Resort and decided to dispell the impression it created. Lost Beach Resort is simply wonderful - a beautiful natural beach, comfortable clean rooms right on the beach, great food at the restaurant and a staff dedicated to making guests comfortable. The most relaxing vacation we've ever had, far way from all that snow in MN! Four thumbs up!(Btw, there is a bogus site that confused me at first - just ignore it and go to lostbeachresort.com - lots of pictures, accurate info)

Lost Beach Resort Jamaica

We recently returned from the "Lost Beach Resort" in Broughton Jamaica (just outside of Negril). The resort itself is nice however the apartments are dirty and in need of great repair. They had a driver pick us up from the airport in a small 6 passenger van (though there were 7 passengers and luggage). He smoked gunji (pot) and drank along the way. Interesting ride through the mountains.
The description of the apartment wasn't even close to what we found. (Though after our experience the Welch family "updated" their site). Unfortunately too late for our vacation.
So if you like a shower that trickles hot and cold, geckos running through the apt., dogs running wild (and barking all night), screens with holes (sand mites everywhere) oh... and did I mention the bedbugs? This resort is for you.
On one note...the staff is wonderful.
In my opinion...Lost Beach Resort should remain just that..."Lost"
