At FDR, we take pride in the pleasure we bring you. So treat your family to the best vacation ever! The Franklyn D. Resort (FDR) is located in Runaway Bay on Jamaica’s picturesque north coast. Ideal for little people, small and intimate, it is truly a remarkable new level of all-inclusive luxury, comfort, security, service, pampering and old-fashioned fun for the whole family in sensational suites beside the ocean.
On arrival, each family is assigned a personal, trained Nanny to attend their every need. Vacation Nannies will babysit and become your child's companion, so parents are free to enjoy their holiday and find time for each other. By the end of your stay, she will become a part of your family.
There are no "rooms" at FDR. Accommodation is in one, two or three-bedroom suites, each self-contained with its own kitchen and patio/terrace.

FDR is an all inclusive resort for families built in a low-rise Georgian Mediterranean architectural style, surrounded by gardens and fronting on a white sand beach. There are 3 restaurants, 3 swimming pools and separate activity centers for children and teens, providing a wide variety of supervised activities. Our new 100' waterslide Big Blue is creating a lot of excitement for kids and adults alike! |
The day is done, a stunning sunset ignites the sky. Whether you seek a casual gathering with friends & family or an elegant, memorable candlelit evening, FDR provides dining choices for just about everyone. Wine and drinks are served with dinner which becomes a fitting prelude to the evening's entertainment.
The Verandah Restaurant:
Situated on the boardwalk over the ocean, the Verandah restaurant serves International cuisine in a family atmosphere. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style. A la carte dinners are served 5 nights per week with sumptuous buffets on 2 nights including our Beach Buffet night where you dine on the shore by torchlight & our famous Saturday Jamaican Buffet night. Fresh papaya, mangoes in season, colourful garden salads, succulent steaks, a variety of pasta dishes and indigenous Jamaican food are prepared just for you.
The Pier Restaurant:
At The Pier Restaurant, the Italian fare is as delightful as the scenery. Dining at this adults-only, a-la-carte restaurant, is in a romantic atmosphere by the Caribbean Sea. Service is exceptional and parents will delight in the delectable Italian cuisine. There are elaborate antipasto displays including offerings of squid, a choice of salads, soups, great pasta and entrees and tempting desserts and cheeses. The restaurant is open for dinner five evenings per week, from 6:30pm until 9:30pm.
The Kidz Buffet:
After an energetic and active day in the sea and sun, kids can expect a great spread at the Kidz Buffet. A well- balanced buffet-style meal is served on tables just the right height. The menu is specially planned to suit little palates: spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, soups, a selection of healthy salads, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers are some of the specialties.
The Kidz Buffet goes from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm daily. Fruits, juices, milk, our popular non-alcoholic Daiquiris, chocolate milk, self- serve softy ice cream and after-dinner dessert treats are also available. After dinner there is Ping Pong, Pool, Air Hockey and foosball to keep the kids entertained until the Kiddies Disco opens at 7:30pm. |
