What to expect: Including facilities for adults such as a health spa and a secluded pool as well as a children's club, this resort attracts couples and families for casual, open-air holidays on the beach.
Amenity highlights: Swimming options consist of a freeform family pool with swim-up bar; a children's pool; a secluded, adults-only pool with an adults-only spa tub; and the calm Atlantic Ocean lapping 300m (328 yards) of beachfront, with an "iceberg" climbing tower and a trampoline off the beach, and a beach bungee-trampoline on the beach. The resort supplies snorkeling gear, kayaks, windsurfers, and Hobie Cat sailboats. |
 A 61-m (200-ft) freeform family pool includes a swim-up bar and is paired with a 6-m-diameter (20-ft) children's pool. Secluded from activities areas, an adults-only, L-shaped pool measuring 15m (50 ft) per side provides is paired with a six-person, adults-only spa tub.
The resort's frontage on the 32-km (20-mi) Punta Cana beach of light-colored sand extends 300m (328 yds). Off the beach are an "iceberg" climbing tower and a trampoline. The resort supplies snorkeling gear, kayaks, windsurfers, and Hobie Cat sailboats. Scuba-diving instruction/PAIDI certification and diving/snorkeling excursions are available for surcharges, as are speed boats, banana-boating, water skiing, fishing, and parasailing.
Aerobics are offered next to and in the main pool, and yoga classes are conducted by the main pool. Land sports include a beach bungee-trampoline. After 8 PM, surcharges are levied for use of two lighted tennis courts. |
 Offering facials such as Tropical Bamboo, body treatments such as Peppermint Sea Twist, and hydrotherapies such as Rose Petal, a health and beauty spa (surcharges for treatments/services) also includes women's and men's saunas, a unisex steam room, and a private garden with two 12-person unisex spa tubs shaded by thickly blanketed flowering arbors (surcharge for facilities without spa treatment). An air-conditioned fitness center contains cardio machines, a universal gym, and free weights. Computers with high-speed Internet access (surcharges) are located on the lobby mezzanine.
The resort offers 450 spacious guestrooms in five three-story buildings (no elevators) with furnished balconies or ground-floor terraces. Minibars are stocked with soft drinks, water, juices, and beer, and some rooms' minibars also include rum, potato chips, peanuts, candy, and sports drinks. Ceiling fans supplement air conditioning. Televisions offer U.S./European cable channels. Furnishings and decor include four-poster beds, wood crown molding and chair rails, terra-cotta tile floors, tile bathrooms, and rosy-toned furniture, with two-chair dining sets and dresser/desks. |
