A magnificent villa on the north shore of the Dominican Republic near Playa Grande Beach and Golf Course. If you seek not only a vacation but an experience, consider our private and secluded villa on the North Shore of The Dominican Republic.
The name of the house is "Villa Costa Norte" (pronounced: fejoh). It is located on the Atlantic side of the island between the town of Cabrera and world-famous Playa Grande beach and golf course.
One hour away from the Puerto Plata International Airport, nestled in a lush tropical forest at the mountain's foot and above the crashing waves.
The villa sits high on a cliff with breathtaking views from every window, balcony and terrace. There are six private suites, each with its own balcony and full bath. There is a formal living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also a game room with table tennis and aerobic exercise equipment.
Additionally, there is a roof observatory from which you can see the passing ships and the migrating humpback whales. The roof observatory with its Cape Hatteras style hammock is the favorite spot for many guests to enjoy a traditional siesta. |
Ms. Juana Duval is the administrator and cook of the house. Her friendly smile and endless hospitality make our guests feel right at home. During your stay, she and the rest of the staff, will see fit that you receive the best of what the house and the area has to offer.
Juana’s cooking is something special. Many plan to visit the restaurants near the house. However, once they taste Juana’s cooking, dining out plans fade away the guests become entranced by Juana's Dominican cuisine. Rice and beans with chicken, pork or steak are “de rigueur”.
Mangu (mashed green plantains covered with red onions), with fried eggs or “queso de hoja” (Dominican mozzarella cheese) is great. For those counting calories, an assortment of tropical fruits will redefine the meaning of “sweet”.
There is no menu. Each day, depending on the guest’s wishes, Juana may travel to the local fish market where she finds a variety of fresh seafood. From the day's catch she concocts the finest dishes. Juana’s cooking skills and gracious manner set Casa Don Fello apart from any villa in the Caribbean. |
