My family of 5 (3 children ages 18-25) were looking forward to our vacation and were sadly disappointed in the trip. I must say the location is fantastic. The place is very clean, well kept, and beautiful. However it is mismanaged and understaffed. When we arrived like most people we were looking forward to landing out things in a room and going to the beach. We waited in the lobby for 3 hrs before were taken to a room which was not the room we reserved. After another 45 min we were taken to a comparable room to the one we booked but still not the same. The food made us sick the first few nights but we quickly learned what we could and could not eat (stick to food with steam coming off of it, no veggies that look wet). The most frustrating part of the trip was the lack of English speaking workers. I understand that this is a Spanish resort chain but if you are catering to a large quantity of American or any English speaking consumers having some of the staff speaking English would be helpful. We found no managers, hostess, pool staff, no one spoke English. There were a lot of issues that came up throughout the trip and the language barrier made it all the more frustrating.
It’s a shame it was a beautiful location and wonderful beach, but the miss-management really ruined the trip. We met a couple that was on there honeymoon who had been shipped out every night to a different hotel because they had booked a room here and the hotel didn’t have there room! Every night they had to go somewhere else and come back in the morning…unacceptable.
