What to expect: Popular with divers since opening in August 2005, Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club also attracts couples and families seeking a serene setting, panoramic Caribbean Sea views, and opportunities to explore Christoffel National Park, 6.5 km (4 mi) away. Grounds include a secluded Japanese garden, native trees, cactus gardens, flowering bushes, and tamarind and breadfruit trees.
Amenity highlights: The resort stands on a cliff above a 75-m (82-yd) beach of white coral sand along the Caribbean Sea. A coral reef for snorkeling and scuba diving is just offshore. The resort supplies snorkeling gear, kayaks, pedal boats, and small sailboats. An independent dive center offers scuba and snorkeling excursions and scuba instruction/certification. Water Sports
Guests at the Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club may enjoy a wide variety of water sports right off our beach. Enjoy non-motorized water sports activities, including scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, sunfish boating, paddle boating, kayaking or simply relaxing on one of our sun floats.
Swimming Pool
The free form swimming pool is set on the cliff next to the ocean with steps leading down to the beach. Offers stunning views – beverages and snacks are available through the Christoffel Sunset Lounge – complimentary sun beds, towels and umbrellas are available to offer shaded areas.
Beach
The resort features a beautiful white sandy beach with crystal clear blue calm water. A natural reef is located just a few meters off of our shore. Drinks and lunch are available at the Kalki Beach Bar and Grill. Shaded areas and complimentary towels and sun beds are provided. Our dive shop is also located here to meet all your diving, snorkeling and water sports needs. Water sports that are offered are kayaks, paddleboats, sunfish boats along with sun floats.
Fitness Center
The fully equipped, air-conditioned Fitness Center offers state-of-the-art True Cybox cardio machines, upright bikes, elliptical bikes, treadmills, Stairmasters, weight machines, free weights and mats. Surrounded by oversized glass windows, guests may also enjoy a breathtaking view of the ocean and swimming pool during their workout. Aerobic and Yoga classes are also available. Massages are also offered.
Stairs from the 7.5-m (25-ft) cliff lead to a 75-m (82-yd) beach of white coral sand lapped by the Caribbean Sea. The beach features panoramic views of seaside cliffs to the south. Guests can snorkel and scuba dive amid coral just offshore. Waters are calm in most weather.
Guests booking the All-Inclusive plan enjoy complimentary use of snorkeling gear, kayaks, pedal boats, and small sailboats. Guests booking the Room-Only (No Meals) plan can rent the equipment. An independent dive center at the resort offers scuba and snorkeling excursions and scuba instruction/certification.
A freeform pool measures approximately 15.25 x 15.25 m (50 x 50 ft). Large thatched shades border the sundeck.
Use of a lighted tennis court is complimentary for all guests in daylight, with a surcharge for play under the lights. Yoga and aerobics (complimentary for all guests) are provided on a sea-view deck with a conical thatched roof outside a large air-conditioned fitness center (complimentary for all guests). The fitness center contains weight machines, cardio equipment, and free weights.
Hiking and mountain biking are other popular pursuits. Christoffel National Park, 6.5 km (4 mi) away, features trails, wildlife-watching, caves, and historic sites. |

 The Watamula Restaurant, the resort’s main restaurant features local and international specialties – open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests dine under an expansive, open-aired, thatched roof hut while enjoying tropical cross breezes and sweeping views of the sea.
Open daily for lunch, offers a relaxing beachside atmosphere and a splendid view of the sea. Guests dine on light, casual lunchtime fare while dining on the sandy beach. Also a great place to enjoy your favorite beverage while sun bathing. The restaurants also features weekly themed dinners.
Situated at the western most point of the Island, and long hailed as the Island’s best spot to watch the sunset, the Christoffel Sunset Lounge is located adjacent to the Watamula Restaurant and the swimming pool. A casual lounge featuring panoramic unobstructed ocean views, refreshing drinks, snacks, entertainment and big screen TVs to watch your favorite sports.

The resort, a prime dive destination on Curaçao, offers diving through PADI certified Ocean Encounters West, situated on property. Guests may enjoy this fully equipped, on-site dive shop that will arrange a wide assortment of diving courses and excursions. From resort to master dive courses, Ocean Encounters West offers PADI courses for all levels of experience. Equipment rental and filling stations are also available.
Some of the more popular dive sites, located nearby include:
* Alice in Wonderland, also known as Playa “Kalki,” just a shore dive away. Magnificent reefs featuring green moray eels, lobsters, and mushroom shaped star coral formations and a vivid array of brightly colored reef fish. Visibility averages 100 feet.
* Watamula, which some say is one of the most untouched dive sites off Curaçao, is only a five to seven minute boat ride from the resort. The site features spectacular formations of hard corals, coral gardens and a large variety of maritime life. Visibility averages at 90 feet.
* Mushroom Forest, one of Curaçao’s most popular dive sites is only 30 minutes away by boat from the resort. The site features a sloping reef with huge mushroom shaped coral formations. Average visibility is 90 feet. |
